While Cormac McCarthy is undeniably an American literary icon, cinematic adaptations of his work haven't always fared so well. From the great ("No Country For Old Men") to the good ("The Road") to the missed opportunities ("All The Pretty Horses") to the ones no one saw ("The Sunset Limited"), the success rate has been scattered. But this fall will see two movies based on his efforts. Later this month, James Franco will unspool "Child Of God" in Venice, but for the rest of us, it will be "The Counselor" that we'll be seeing first. More importantly, it was written specifically for the screen. And a new trailer is here giving the biggest peek yet at what is one of the fall's biggest films.

While it might seem that TIFF has every major movie coming before the end of the year, there are a still a strong handful of films yet to be announced for any festivals, and though we expect Ridley Scott's "The Counselor" to get a splashy premiere somewhere, it currently remains a big get for someone. And with the movie hitting theaters in just over two months, there's certainly going to be plenty to see from the movie.

For about a week there, it looked like the upcoming "Annie" remaking was getting Sandra Bullock in its ranks. Talks were started and seemed to indicate it would all happen, before they fell apart seven days later. But don't sweat it folks, because another actress is making sure this movie keeps going.

Now, a few new images from the picture have dropped to tantalize for its fall release.

While it doesn't have a U.S. release date just yet, the Coen Brothers penned, Cameron Diaz and Colin Firth starring comedy "Gambit" is already kicking up its heels overseas. A remake of the 1966 Michael Caine/Shirley MacLaine film, while on paper it sounds promising, the end result is a bit more disappointing (read our review here), but judge for yourself with four clips from the movie below.
