While it would appear that Robert Pattinson is back together -- or at least hanging out with -- Kristen Stewart (just in time for their 'Breaking Dawn' press tour, which is surely no coincidence), the actor continues to line up an impressive array of projects. And already attached to movies with Werner Herzog and David Michod, he's got another non-Hollywood filmmaker that's lining up in his schedule.

Thomas Vinterberg has certainly been on an interesting journey since breaking out with "Festen" nearly fifteen years ago. While that film put him on the map, he struggled to follow it up, with audience and critical indifference meeting subsequent efforts like "Dear Wendy," "It's All About Love" and "Submarino." But this spring, Vinterberg once again wowed Cannes with "The Hunt," a searing drama starring Mads Mikkelsen (who took home Best Actor) as a man wrongfully accused of sexually abusing a young girl. And it hasn't taken the director long to leverage that success into a potentially exciting new project.

Not content to let Tobey Maguire sign up for all the movies in the space created by "The Great Gatsby" delay, Carey Mulligan is getting into the swing of things joining a film that will see her exercise some different acting muscles than we're used to from the actress.

Yo, you want some Jay-Z with your classic English literature? How about some blazing hip hop beatz in a Jazz Age drama? Inspired mashup or potential disaster? The jury is still out on Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" but there is no doubt that on a visual level, this film will be nothing short of a knockout.

Well, the first trailer for "The Great Gatsby" arrived earlier this week and it proved two things: 1) there seems to be no limit to where Kanye West and Jay-Z's "No Church In The Wild" can be used, and 2) for better or worse, this movie is a Baz Luhrmann film all the way.

When it was announced that Baz Luhrmann would be directing a film version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby," anyone who knew the Australian director's work sort of knew what to expect. They might not have guessed that he'd make the whole thing in 3D (which he has), but they knew you'd get something lavish, operatic and heavily styilized, with party scenes that finally lived up to some of Fitzgerald's descriptions.

Last year was bittersweet for fans of the Coen Brothers. While it was the first time in four years the prolific duo didn't have a film released, it was announced that they'd be returning to the music world in 2012 for their next feature "Inside Llewyn Davis" which would focus on the '60's Greenwich Village scene that included names like Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Ramblin' Jack Elliott and Joni Mitchell among others.

It has been three, far too long years since Spike Jonze's last feature film, the wonderful "Where The Wild Things Are" and while various videos and shorts he's done in the interim -- including "I'm Here" and "Scenes From The Suburbs" -- were nice holdovers, we're glad that his next movie, penned by Charlie Kaufman, appears to be taking shape. First announced over a year ago, Megan Ellison and her Annapurna shingle got things rolling by backing the project and over 2011 Joaquin Phoenix and Carey Mulligan came aboard. Now, two more great actresses appear to be boarding the film.

While the movie is out, and Rooney Mara has proven to be the perfect choice for Lisbeth Salander, the story of what could have been is always intriguing. As has been well documented already, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" went through a lengthy, and very publicized casting process and in the final days, Sarah Snook, Sophie Lowe and Léa Seydoux were said to be the final candidates, with a mix of established and lesser known names like Ellen Page, Natalie Portman, Emma Watson, Mia Wasikowska, Emily Browning and Katie Jarvis also in the running. Last fall, David Fincher said that Scarlett Johansson gave a great audition but proved to be too sexy for the somewhat androgynous part. Also being considered was "Drive" and "Shame" star Carey Mulligan, and she reveals she was called back more than once to try out for the part.
