Landing on our list of The Most Anticipated Blockbusters Of The 2013 Summer Season, "Pacific Rim" had been playing a bit cagey until this point, keeping the monsters mostly teased instead of shown, but today Warner Bros. has unleashed a helluva trailer which promises the monster vs. robot mayhem most have been hoping Guillermo Del Toro would be delivering.

While every other studio seems to be dropping some mad billz for Super Bowl spots, Warner Bros. are politely sitting on the sidelines today. So, sorry, you won't be seeing anything for "Man Of Steel," "The Great Gatsby," "The Hangover Part III" or "Pacific Rim." But as a small concession of sorts, they've dropped some new images for the latter.

While we were a touch disappointed by the teaser trailer, we're still pretty amped to see Guillermo Del Toro's monsters vs. robots epic "Pacific Rim." In part it's because it's the "Pan's Labyrinth" director's first film in five years. In part, it's because it has ROBOTS FIGHTING MONSTERS. And in part, it's because of the sheer confidence that everyone involves seems to be showing. Warners have already commissioned a script for a sequel, and now, Del Toro has shown that he's happy with the job that his lead in the film, Charlie Hunnam, has done: by casting him in his next movie.

There's a lot of big hitters arriving in theaters next summer; "Iron Man 3," "Man Of Steel," "The Lone Ranger," "Star Trek Into Darkness," "The Great Gatsby," "The Wolverine," "Elysium." But if you'd asked us this morning what our most anticipated film of the warm months of 2013 was going to be, we wouldn't have even had to think before we answered "Pacific Rim." For the most part, it's because it's the first film in five years from director Guillermo Del Toro ("Pan's Labyrinth"). Although that it features giant robots and giant monsters kicking the holy living shit out of each other, and that it has a very strong script to be working from are other good reasons why we're excited (and why Warner Bros have already commissioned a script for a sequel).

After kicking around handful of options at Warner Bros. including the drama "Your Voice In My Head," the thriller "The Imitation Game" and potential gangster epic "Cicero," 'Harry Potter' helmer David Yates has finally settled on "Tarzan" as his next project. The decision has slowly been coming over the past few months, but now it's time to find out who's going to shirtless and swinging from vines, and some interesting names are cropping up.

Damn, the trailer for "3, 2, 1... Frankie Go Boom" looks strange. In a really good way. So how do we explain the madness therein? Let's go to the official synopsis which is brief: Frank Bartlett has been tortured, embarrassed and humiliated by his brother Bruce -- usually on film -- his entire life. Now that Bruce is finally off drugs and has turned his life around, things should be different. They are not.

We're a few short weeks from Comic-Con, where geeks will have their minds blown by cosplay girls by oodles of footage, images and other goodies unveiled by studios and filmmakers, as they hawk their genre wares. And Guillermo del Toro, a longstanding fixture in San Diego, is set to return, but this time with a brand new film, his first since 2008's "Hellboy II: The Golden Army." And while there will likely be much more on the Comic-Con floor, we'll take what we can get for now.

"Deadfall" starts off strong enough – three criminals, led by Addison (Eric Bana) and his sexy sister Liza (Olivia Wilde) speed away from some unspecified job (it's later revealed to be a casino heist). It's icy out and their driver (the only black character in the whole movie) overcompensates, avoiding a deer, which sends their car cart wheeling over a snowy embankment. As Addison and Liza climb out of the wrecked car they notice their very-dead driver, his head through the windshield. "He should have been wearing his safety belt," Bana grumbles, dripping a syrupy Southern accent on top of his natural Australian drawl. It's a perfect way to begin the movie – darkly comic, oddly thrilling, weirdly sexual (there's definitely an incestuous vibe between the siblings) – but these opening moments are probably the strongest in the movie's 94 minute running time.
