Okay, we didn't see this coming. At all. At only sixteen years old, Chloe Moretz is already looking to push the envelope with the roles she'll take on, featuring in the grimy indie "Hick" (which by all accounts was pretty awful) while this fall she'll reign in terror as "Carrie." But taking the part of a young prostitute? Like we said, didn't see this one coming...

While some may recoil from the very idea of making another version of "Carrie," the Stephen King story immortalized by Brian De Palma's 1976 film, if it means that it opens doors for Chloe Moretz to work with Olivier Assayas, then we're cool with that.

Yeah, yeah we know. IFC Films just picked up Olivier Assayas' "Sils Maria," even though it hasn't shot a single frame, but perhaps they saw this casting coming and realized this is something they wanted to get their hands on.

Hollywood’s goal of remaking every single horror film of the last forty years appears to be going strong. The latest victim is “Carrie.” Granted, the casting of Chloe Moretz as the title character and Julianne Moore as her mother sounds great on paper, especially with Kimberly Peirce ("Boys Don’t Cry") at the helm. But the first full trailer for the movie, released earlier this month, didn’t leave many people hopeful, nor did it leave much to the imagination. Now, new images from the film have arrived, once again confirming that Chloe Moretz will be drenched in blood, in case you had no idea.

This weekend, a young girl goes into the woods and comes out covered in blood after 90 minutes or so of sheer mayhem. And while "Carrie" may not have to employ the use of a chainsaw, she's got some other powers on hand that nonetheless will still leave things ending just as red.

She's only sixteen, but the rise of Chloe Moretz has been nothing short of remarkable. It's hard to believe it was only four years ago that she appeared as the kid sister in "(500) Days Of Summer." This year she's got big movies on the way, with the sequel "Kick-Ass 2" (which recently dropped a trailer just focused on her character) and horror remake "Carrie" (new trailer coming this week). And now it looks like she's lining up a drama based on a book by one of the hottest authors of the moment.

Lo-fi, featuring stars that weren't household names and stamped with an R-rating, "Kick-Ass" gleefully twisted the superhero genre on its head to the tune of $96 million worldwide. Given all the factors above, that's quite a feat and, no doubt boosted by home video exposure, a sequel was greenlit. But can lightning strike twice? While the term "remake" generally makes us shudder, the upcoming do-overs of horror staples "Evil Dead" and "Carrie" are giving reasons for optimism. The former is looking to take its R-rating right to the edge with a picture that takes inspiration from Sam Raimi's original and runs with it, promising audiences on the poster that it will be the most terrifying movie they've ever seen. Meanwhile, the latter puts Chloe Moretz in the iconic lead role, with none other than Kimberly Peirce directing in what will hopefully be a unique take on Stephen King's story. And now some new images are here to tease what's in store for both films.

Well, it seems a project that’s been kicking around for the past few years at Summit Entertainment is finally beginning to move forward. The film, “If I Stay,” which is based on the young adult novel of the same name, was at one point set to star Dakota Fanning with Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia attached to direct. Now, documentary filmmaker R.J. Cutler will get to try his hand at the project, making it his first narrative feature. Chloe Moretz is attached to star.
