Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Over the past week, there has been a lot of talk about "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," spoilers and the ethics of revealing them. Essentially, recent soundtrack listings and previews of toys (yes, that sound you're hearing is my eyes rolling far, far into the back of my head) have possibly given up character reveals and plot points of the upcoming superhero flick. HitFix can lead you to those recent developments, because right now we want to focus on one that is coming straight from Marvel.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Okay, so "Captain America 3" is officially a thing with directors Anthony and Joe Russo back to direct, but first, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will have to hit theaters. This weekend is a big one for the Marvel movie, with a Super Bowl spot planned to roll out on Sunday, but until then: promotional material!

Snowpiercer
While the Weinsteins may have angled to keep "Snowpiercer" from TIFF, they won't be preventing it from screening next week at the Berlin Film Festival. Of course, Bong Joon-Ho's apocalyptic, train-set thriller has already opened in a handful of international territories, but not yet in the ones controlled by Harv and co., so it will still be something fresh for many of the press and audience members in Berlin. And as we continue to patiently wait for some sign of a release date on U.S. soil, four new clips have landed for the flick.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”
"I don't think Marvel's ever done anything like this,” Chris Evans recently told Empire about “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” "The [directors, the Russo] brothers said right from the start that we were really doing a '70s thriller," the action star said of what sounds like an unlikely Marvel movie.

Captain America: The Winter Solider
A New Year means a new promotional cycle begins for Marvel, and heading into 2014, the comic studio have got three big movies on their slate: "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," "Guardians Of The Galaxy" and in case you forgot, Disney's animated "Big Hero 6." So there isn't a moment to lose.

Few films without a firm release date (in most of the world, at least) have inspired as much chatter of late than Bong Joon-ho's "Snowpiercer." The English-language debut of the South Korean mastermind behind "Memories of Murder," "The Host" and "Mother," it features an all-star cast and a hefty budget, and was snapped up early on by The Weinstein Company. But after opening in South Korea in August, it's barely been seen in the rest of the world, with Harvey Weinstein holding the release in the territories he controls until he can cut a reported 20 minutes out to make it more palatable to western crowds. But one location in which Harvey Scissorhands doesn't hold the rights is France, and the director's cut opened there this week—appropriate, given that it's based on a French graphic novel called "Le Transperceneige." Eager to see what the fuss is about, we hopped on the Eurostar to Paris to check it out yesterday. And Harvey? We wouldn't touch a frame, because this might be the best pure science-fiction film since "Children of Men."

There are a lot of interesting factors in the mix for Marvel's next sequel, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." With the shield-bearing hero being brought into sync with the post-"The Avengers" timeline, the movie is tossing together first-time tentpole directors Anthony and Joe Russo, veteran Robert Redford in a key role and Anthony Mackie flying in to help as Falcon. It's an interesting array of ingredients, but can it recreate the breezy, throwback vibe of "Captain America: The First Avenger"? Or will it be something different?

So is Steve Rogers getting all "Oldboy" on us for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"? Don't get ahead of yourself. According to directors Anthony and Joe Russo, in bringing the hero into the current timeline of the Marvel-verse, they looked back on '70s thrillers like "Three Days Of The Condor" as the vibe they were trying to bring to their first superhero and tentpole outing. But it's not just the chance to play with big budgets that brought the duo to the franchise, it was the 'Winter Soldier' story, of which both are big fans.

Snowpiercer, Tilda Swinton
Jumping to conclusions before the facts are in is par for the course these days. As is the blind leap to vilify Harvey Weinstein over anything mildly controversial that he has even dared look sideways at (though yes, his track record is poor, but generally the dude knows what he’s doing), but at the Deauville American Film Festival in France, actress Tilda Swinton made some pointed, not-so-exactly subtle remarks about the brouhaha brewing over Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho's upcoming Weinstein sci-fi thriller, "Snowpiercer."
