Of all the movies set to show their wares this fall, perhaps the one that has been kept the most in the dark is Spike Jonze's "Her." The set photos that have circulated certainly don't betray anything of what his approach will be, and there have been no official stills, posters, teasers or websites to give up the game. That being said, Jonze did provide a peek to those who were lucky enough to be at the L.A. Film Festival in June, showing two clips from the oddball romance that stars Joaquin Phoenix, Chris Pratt, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde and (the voice of) Scarlett Johansson. Ostensibly, the movie is about a man who falls in love with a computer operating system, but as always, it's much more than that.

The Delivery Man
While we'll allow the mental leap of a single man's sperm donation(s) resulting in fathering 533 children, for the sake of a comedy premise, does it result in something good? Canadians gave a thumbs up the French language "Starbuck," and that's film's co-writer and director Ken Scott was brought in to helm the remake, "Delivery Man." Yes, it's another Vince Vaughn everyman movie, but can he rebound from the tepid "The Internship"?

After months of virtual silence on Spike Jonze's long-awaited next film "Her," there's been a relative flurry of activity in the last 24 hours. The sci-fi romance, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as a man who falls in love with his operating system, has been under radars until now, but hot on the heels of the announcement that the film's release date, Warner Bros have spilled the beans on two previously unrevealed cast members on the project (which shot last year). According to the studio, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Pratt are both in the cast, joining Phoenix, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Samantha Morton and Olivia Wilde.

So what do Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker and now Ophelia Lovibond have in common? Believe it or not, this grab-bag, eclectic batch of actors constitute the cast of a movie which is shaping up to be a pretty interesting little gamble on behalf of Marvel.

Toldja! (Sorta). Last summer we dropped our list of 10 TV Stars Who Should Break Through To The Big Screen Soon and among them was "Parks & Recreation" and "Zero Dark Thirty" star Chris Pratt. And that's exactly what's happening as the actor has now bagged his first franchise.

We love Chris Pratt, but you already knew that. The "Parks and Recreation" star has been steamrolling into movies with a nice turn in last year's "Moneyball," a supporting part in this spring's "Five-Year Engagement," a role in Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming "Zero Dark Thirty," and has bagged the lead in Warner Bros.' "Lego." And now he's gearing up to exercise his ample comedic muscles in "Starbuck," a remake of the French Canadian hit that's set to star Vince Vaughn. The story centers on a middle-aged man whose life changes when he finds out that he has fathered 533 children through sperm donation, and that a few hundred of those children have expressed the wish to meet their biological father. Pratt will play Vaughn's lawyer. The film is being written and directed by the original helmer Ken Scott, and will roll in front of cameras later this year.

On paper, the idea of a movie based on Lego sounds ridiculous and so easy to be exploited into a quick cash grab, brainless, toy brand blockbuster. But thankfully, the folks behind "Lego: The Piece Of Resistance" are putting their aims high for something that sounds like it's going to be a total blast. Anyway, we'll just fastforward to the good part: Batman and Superman are gonna be in this.

With cinematic releases at the moment mostly involving the not-particularly inspiring likes of "That's My Boy" and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," it's hard not to look to television for a little nourishment. The trouble is that the TV season has wrapped up for the year. While a few shows (namely "Girls") are still wrapping up, and others get underway shortly ("The Newsroom," "Breaking Bad," "Louie"), it's pretty quiet on the box, with cast and creatives focusing on making a hiatus movie, campaigning for Emmy, or just getting some sleep for once.

Last spring, Universal scored a touchdown with the Apatow-produced, Paul Feig-directed comedy hit "Bridesmaids," and now, a year later, they're hoping they can repeat that success. Apatow is once again working his wizardry behind the scenes, this time for director Nicholas Stoller and stars Jason Segel and Emily Blunt in "The Five-Year Engagement."

If you haven't tuned in to "Parks & Recreation" yet you are missing one of the best comedies on television right now (and far superior to the overrated "Community," sorry, it's true). The show is poised to give everyone involved a serious career boost (and it some cases it has with both Aziz Ansari and Aubrey Plaza moving into bigger film roles), but it's the unlikely Chris Pratt who may rise above the rest of his cast. As we noted in our 25 Best Movie Moments Of 2011 he shows some impressive range as Scott Hatteberg in "Moneyball," and if everything goes according to plan he may stretching those dramatic chops even further.
