Sick of "The Dark Knight Rises" and its relatively secret campaign? At least compared to say, Fox's "Prometheus," which seemingly has revealed every secret it has? (Probably not, but it sure feels that way). Well, you shouldn't be. Trust In Nolan (someone should make a T-shirt of that and give me some props).

Ah, character posters. Once an innovative spin on movie marketing, now they're dragged out needlessly for any film on release. Want Jonny Lee Miller in "Dark Shadows" hanging on your wall? Or Alexander Skarsgard in "Battleship?" You got it. We've never seen any evidence of a Tom Wilkinson one-sheet for "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," but we're sure one's out there somewhere.

If it weren't for the vocal fans who've decided that you can only like one of "The Avengers" or "The Dark Knight Rises," not both, as if they were football teams or opposite sides of civil war, we'd have almost forgotten about the closing part of Christopher Nolan's Bat-trilogy. As Joss Whedon's film becomes the top-grossing superhero movie of all, Nolan's has been playing the softly-softly-catchee-monkey approach to its marketing: that trailer a few weeks back made many waves, but 'quiet confidence' is perhaps the most appropriate way to describe Nolan and Warner Bros' approach to marketing their mega-budget series-closer.

So here's a little anecdote for you. This writer has seen the latest "The Dark Knight Rises" trailer in the theaters a few times now, and unlike the usual chattering that accompanies most movie spots, the audience has been mostly reverentially silent. Has anyone else experienced this? It's eerie and kind of cool. Either way, it's pretty clear that "The Dark Knight Rises" will be aiming to smash the $1 billion worldwide box office of its predecessor "The Dark Knight," but can Christopher Nolan's film achieve that feat?

Screw that animated gif (though the dedication is admirable), the third "The Dark Knight Rises" trailer is here. And yes, in Christopher Nolan we trust.

David O. Russell isn't straying too far from his recent tried and true collaborations. Reports surfaced earlier this year that Christian Bale and his "Fighter" director would be re-teaming again for a Black List script called, "American Bullshit." Written by Eric Warren Singer ("The International"), and a project that Ben Affleck was eyeing in January, it appears that not only is Bale in talks to star, but Russell's most-current lead Bradley Cooper (he stars in "The Silver Linings Playbook") is on board as well.

While Warner Bros. has yet to push out the final leg of the "The Dark Knight Rises" marketing campaign, this will certainly suffice in the meantime. We don't know who you are anonymous internet comedians, but this is fucking gold.

Terrence Malick is well known for shooting endless amounts of footage, most of which we'll never see, but it seems for this upcoming duo of movies "Knight Of Cups" and the tentatively titled "Lawless," not only can he not turn off the camera, celeb friends are popping up everywhere as he continues to roll. Neon Indian dude Alan Palomo, The Cult and Matthew McConaughey are some of the faces that were snapped shooting scenes at SXSW a couple of weeks back, and now, yet another celeb has been spied shooting scenes with Malick and co.
