This Is Where I Leave You, Shawn Levy
Okay, we'll give credit to "This Is Where I Leave You" for the cast the film has assembled. Who could argue with Jane Fonda, Tina Fey, Jason Bateman, Rose Byrne, Adam Driver, Kathryn Hahn, Corey Stoll, Connie Britton, Ben Schwartz, Timothy Olyphant, Aaron Lazar, Debra Monk, Abigail Spencer and Dax Shepard being in the same movie together? It's just a shame its one as generic as this.

Baltasar Kormákur's "Everest" seems to have been in production forever at this point, and the cast keeps growing. Already featuring Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Jake Gyllenhaal, Martin Henderson, Emily Watson, Thomas Wright, Sam Worthington and Robin Wright, the film has now added Keira Knightley to its ranks.

Magazines doing photo spreads recreating scenes from iconic movies is nothing new. Vanity Fair seems to do it a couple times a year, and it was at the tail end of 2011 when the New York Times Magazine got in on the act enlisting a wealth of stars for a big awards season shoot that included, among others, Rooney Mara dressing up as Alex from "A Clockwork Orange." Now, "Glee" and "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy is joining in, recruiting the leading ladies from his TV projects to participate in a horror-themed shoot for Elle.

Last summer fans of Texas football, and more specifically, the series "Friday Night Lights," got some hope that there was more to come. Peter Berg revealed that he wanted to get a feature film off the ground centered on Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton picking up where the final episode of the show left off and that work was happening to start getting it rolling. And then, where was pretty much radio silence on it, but it seems it's becoming more of a reality.

It was a big week for football fans in Dillon, Texas, with Coach Eric Taylor leading the underdog East Dillon Lions to an emotional championship victory. Actually, it's been a big week for fans of one of TV's best dramas, "Friday Night Lights," as it just concluded its fifth and final season on NBC (that is, for anyone without DirecTV or a decent Internet connection where the show wrapped up a few months ago). But with the show coming to a close for the second time it's given fans and news outlets alike a chance to start memorializing the show. Grantland has a must-read oral history of the show by its cast and creators and a few days ago the series received Emmy nominations for Best Drama (its first) and Lead Actor and Actress in a Drama for Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton (their second).

This business moves fast. We'd barely finished hitting 'publish' on a post about "Community" star Gillian Jacobs joining the Steve Carell/Keira Knightley comedy-drama "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World," and our inbox pinged with a press release from Focus Features, who recently acquired the film. As it turns out, Jacobs wasn't the only actor to come on board the film recently.

SNL Funnyman Says Andy Samberg, Alia Shawkat, Mae Whitman, Johnny Simmons, Donald Glover & More Will Star In Film Written By His WifeEXCLUSIVE: We haven't been shy in expressing our infatuation with comedic actress Aubrey Plaza. Though she doesn't have too many notches on her belt, her turns in "Funny People," "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "Parks and Recreation" are extremely impressive, displaying a young talent with a knack for comedic timing and wit. Whether it's keeping up with Seth Rogen's deadpan, dry deliveries in Judd Apatow's last picture or actively (and abrasively) berating Michael Cera in Edgar Wright's underrated gem, Plaza did it all effortlessly and showed that she was more than just a one-note actress with a cute face. She's gonna be somebody, she's gonna be a contenda.
