What happens when you're about become the biggest actress on the planet? Projects start moving. Should "Prometheus" land the way many expect it will, Noomi Rapace will quickly become a (quirky) household name and Hollywood wants to make sure there is more of her on the way. Popping up and getting a taste of a multiplex sized movie in "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows," and currently filming "Passion" with Brian DePalma another project that actress was linked to last fall is moving forward.

After a few stalled efforts and possible projects that didn't quite get moving, Brian De Palma's "Passion" is going full steam ahead, and it looks like it could be his starriest outing since "The Black Dahlia." The film, a loose remake of Alain Corneau's "Love Crime," already has Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace slotted as the dueling leads, and now two more excellent actors are coming aboard.

Dominic Cooper has been on a tear lately, raising his profile in 2011 thanks to his dual role turn in "The Devil's Double" and his stint in the comic book tentpole "Captain America: The First Avenger." But it seems there may be some changes on the horizon for the actor. He's got a handful of projects on the way -- "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," "Summer In February," "Half Of A Yellow Sun," "Motor City" -- with his calendar becoming full, and it seems his latest manuever may mean dropping the latter studio pic as a result.

It's not been documented much abroad, but Nigeria has one of the most vibrant, active film scenes in the world; over the last couple of decades, it's overtaken the United States to become the nation that produces the second largest quantities of film per year, behind only India. And while the films and stars of "Nollywood," as it's nicknamed, haven't yet crossed over to the Western mainstream, it's surely only a matter of time before their influence becomes felt. And now, it's been announced that Nigerian backers are teaming with British producers for a star-laden adaptation of a novel that tells a key part of the nation's history.

It appears you can't turn around these days without bumping into a rising, young British actor (Carey Mulligan, Felicity Jones, Jeremy Irvine, Benedict Cumberbatch, etc) and we aren't really complaining particularly when their choices are so fascinating, so it's with particular interest that we'll be keeping an eye on "Summer In February."

Exclusive: Just because Peter Dinklage has appeared in an installment of "The Chronicles of Narnia" and won an Emmy for "Game of Thrones" does not automatically make him a fantasy fan -- but he is headed to Fantasy Island, thanks to "My Dinner with Hervé."

After playing the quip-filled Howard Stark in "Captain America: The First Avenger" and appearing in pretty much every single scene in "The Devil's Double" where he played two characters with equal panache, it looks like Dominic Cooper is ready to give his mouth a break.

Earlier this year there was all kinds of hoopla surrounding the gestating John Gotti biopic, mostly because independent producers Fiore Films somehow managed to score John Travolta, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci for the film with none other than Barry Levinson directing (who stepped in for Nick Cassavetes who bailed on the project to focus on his now legally troubled flick "Yellow"). Well, it's been nearly two months since we last heard anything, but believe it or not, the movie is indeed moving forward.

There is no conventional wisdom that states that you get the biopic you deserve. Indeed, terrible movies have been made from compelling public figures, while other, less respectable folks have been unfortunately immortalized by the craft behind their cinematic stories. Ideally, the film isn’t a validation or condemnation of the person, but unfortunately, history favors public opinion over nuance. Hell, there are some people who think "Forrest Gump" was a real person.
