Having survived some very public budget battles and the possibility of being canceled outright, Gore Verbinski's "The Lone Ranger," starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, is back in the saddle with everyone they wanted, and headed in front of cameras...but it looks they're are going to need to do some casting again.

Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale & Helena Bonham Carter Also Getting Ready To Saddle UpIf there is one thing that country musician and actor Dwight Yoakam does well, its act like an asshole and sleazebag. Billy Bob Thornton knew this when he cast him as the memorably repulsive Doyle Hargraves in "Sling Blade" and David Fincher realized his presence alone was worth more than pages of dialogue when he tasked Yoakam to play the unpredictable and violent Raoul. He can also be wryly funny as he's displayed in "Crank" and "Wedding Crashers" but he's gearing up for this biggest movie yet.

A decade after his last directorial effort, news filtered through last year that Billy Bob Thornton had finished a script for a post-war drama titled "Jayne Mansfield's Car" with Tom Epperson and that he was set to direct and star along side Robert Duvall.
