Colin Firth is set to play famed English playwright Noel Coward, in the Willy Holtzman-penned project, “Mad Dogs And Englishmen,” about Coward’s eventful two week-stay at The Desert Inn in Las Vegas in 1995. Although there’s still no director attached, this seems like a great role for the actor to sink his teeth in, as Coward was famous for what Time called “a sense of personal style, a combination of cheek and chic, pose and poise.” So we’ll be definitely be looking forward to this project in the future.

From one WWI-set period flick to another, it looks as if Emily Watson is moving from “War Horse” to something set in the same era, but with far less of the treacle from Steven Spielberg’s sentimental war picture.

Steven Spielberg shot "War Horse" during a break while his team of animators were working on "The Adventures of Tintin," but it's not a rush job -- the director took his time searching for cast members, sending his actors to boot camp to learn to ride, and waiting for the English weather to cooperate. At the press day and the film's premiere, Spielberg, screenwriter Richard Curtis, and the cast of "War Horse" revealed how they transformed the children's book and award-winning play into a film that has already garnered Golden Globe nominations for Best Drama and Best Score.

As Promised, Keira Knightley, Jude Law & Aaron Johnson To StarWell, Joe Wright and Focus Features have locked down the cast for their lavish adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's classic novel "Anna Karenina," and it seems like a full house of talent – in addition to the already confirmed Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Aaron Johnson, Matthew Mcfadyen ("Pride & Prejudice") and Olivia Williams, the film has added Domhnall Gleeson ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"), Alicia Vikander ("The Seventh Son"), Emily Watson, and Ruth Wilson (BBC series "Luther").

Plus Will The Portly Comedian Appear In Charlie Kaufman's 'Frank & Francis'?We may be about to be stripped of our snark cred, but we don't hate Kevin James. He's a decent enough actor, has some comic timing, and is a firmly likable screen presence. We do, however, hate virtually every film he's made: a cynical string of fatty-fall-over gags tied to the loosest possible plot you could think of. But with "The Zookeeper" failing to meet box office expectations (taking half of the gross of James' last vehicle "Paul Blart: Mall Cop"), the chubby funnyman may be heading for a change of tack, with the news that he's teaming up with Oscar nominee Emily Watson for an indie family drama.
