Jessica Biel & Eva Green Also In ContentionDespite it being still near-omnipresent on TV, 20 years since its release, the powers-that-be have deemed that it's time to remake "Total Recall," the sci-fi thriller that proved a hit for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Paul Verhoeven all that time ago. "The Adjustment Bureau" has proven that pictures based on Philip K. Dick's work can still be viable at the box office (both the original and the remake are based on the sci-fi writer's story "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale"). And Sony, in their infinite wisdom, have put the new version in the hands of D-movie king Neal Moritz ("The Green Hornet," "The Fast and the Furious,"), "Salt" scribe Kurt Wimmer, and "Underworld" and "Live Free and Die Hard" director Len Wiseman.

Also Attached To Lesbian Thriller 'Breaking The Girl'Is there any actress right now hotter than Brit Marling? The darling of the Sundance and SXSW film festivals this year, Marling wrote and starred in two very well-received films "Another Earth" (picked up by Fox Searchlight) and "Sound Of My Voice" -- two genre films, with much more going on than their surface loglines suggest. And it looks like Marling is to be riding that wave of success for the next little while at least.

Jordan Scott Eyeing A 'Ghost Story' For Her Next FilmEXCLUSIVE: You would think that a feature film directed by the daughter of Ridley Scott and the niece of Tony Scott, starring Eva Green no less, would generate a fair amount of buzz. But, for whatever reason the movie gods have dictated, "Cracks" is only now rolling out in theaters via IFC; a long time since it premiered at TIFF way back in 2009. And that's really a shame. The film is being slept on by critics, the very same ones who usually beg and fawn for this kind of movie. Featuring an ensemble of complex female characters led by Green, the film easily conjures comparisons to "Picnic At Hanging Rock," "Heavenly Creatures" and "Lord Of The Flies." It's a crackling dark drama of the kind they just don't make very often.

Meet Susan. An epidemiologist who thinks all men are assholes. Now meet Michael, a sweetheart of a chef who sweeps Susan off her feet. Sounds like the beginnings of a romcom right? Not so.

Kate Mara & Charlotte Riley In The Mix; Eva Green & Naomi Watts Have Not Been CastWhile a number of names have been in the mix since last fall for what are apparently two major female roles in Christopher Nolan's forthcoming "The Dark Knight Rises," with production set to begin in just under five months, it looks like the director is still not done seeing what his options are.

The Jarecki family's ventures into feature film making certainly haven't had the best of luck, have they? After making names for themselves with documentaries such as "Capturing The Friedmans" and "The Outsider," brothers Nicholas and Andrew's recent efforts have hit stumbling blocks. Nicholas' adaptation of Brett Easton Ellis' cult favourite "The Informers" was met with scathing reviews while Andrew's "All Good Things," a romantic drama starring Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst, based on the life of real estate fortune heir, Robert Durst, was long shelved by The Weinstein Company before finally finding another distributor.
