Star Wars: Harrison Ford
"Star Wars" good news only lasts so long. The most infamous ankle break in the history of below the waist bone breaks—since Joe Namath of course— is causing so much pain for so many. In case you've been living under an embargo of no ligament related news, you’ve probably heard by now that Harrison Ford sustained an injury on the set of J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII” ("We have proudly worked 15 6 days with no accidents,” the production work sign said sheepishly). The actor broke his ankle when a door from the life-sized Millennium Falcon came crashing down on Han Solo. Original reports had him laid out for eight weeks, with production going on without him.

With an Oscar in his hands, presumably Jared Leto has his pick of movies, and it looks like he's eyeing former Will Smith gig "Brilliance." The Fresh Prince dropped out last month, but Leto is in early talks for the movie that's based on the novel by Marcus Sakey, that's set in "a world where a rare set of people are born with extraordinary abilities and are called 'brilliants.' At the center of the story is a federal agent with great hunting gifts who is drafted to track down a terrorist, another such brilliant who intends to start a civil war." Woo.

With Harrison Ford temporarily out of action (the latest rumors are that while he recovers from the ankle injury he suffered on the set of "Episode VII," he could be filmed from the waist up, although that could also be because he's refusing to wear pants, a la Marlon Brando in "The Score"), it's undoubtedly going to be causing problems on the set of J.J. Abrams' new "Star Wars" movie. But in the meantime, Hollywood are already looking for a potential Harrison Ford replacement, because there's supposedly an Indiana Jones reboot in the offing, and a "Star Wars" spin-off focusing on Han Solo, and the 71-year-old Ford is almost certainly too old to star in either.

Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom
Released on May 23, 1984, “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary and the fighting still hasn’t died down. At the time, “Return of the Jedi” was just one year old, and “E.T.” wasn’t even two years old, and “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” that first collaboration between George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, was just then approaching its third anniversary. To say that the two men were on top of the showbiz mountain almost feels like an understatement. 'Temple of Doom' was a huge hit when released—really, there was no way it wasn’t going to be—but didn’t match the box office of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and was the subject of a surprising amount of controversy.

Blade Runner
While Harrison Ford has always been honest about his lack of interest in Han Solo as a character (though he'll gladly take a paycheck), he's been equally clear about this enthusiasm (as much as Ford can muster) for Deckard from "Blade Runner," and the possibility of playing him again in a sequel. "I'm quite curious and excited about seeing a new script for 'Blade Runner' if in fact the opportunity would exist to do another, if it's a good script I would be very anxious to work with Ridley Scott again, he's a very talented and passionate filmmaker," he said this spring. "And I think it would be very interesting to revisit the character." Well, consider the olive branch extended.

Blade Runner
Philipp Acker, or “Schambess,” composited a beautiful tribute to “Blade Runner,” stringing together the film’s most beautiful shots with “All Right” by Sigur Rós to punctuate pivotal moments in the tribute. FYI, the tribute contains spoilers! While most of civilization pines for more “Star Wars” and Han Solo’s reported “gigantic” part, there’s a diaspora of “Blade Runner” fans who wish upon a star that the swirling rumors of a “Blade Runner 2,” that ties in “Prometheus,” comes to light.

Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark
As the wait continues for "Star Wars: Episode 7," it's probably a good time to take a look back and how we all got here, and that's what Entertainment Weekly has done. A new piece from the magazine dives into the journey of Harrison Ford, who has long, long said he had zero interest in ever playing Han Solo again...only to play Han Solo again in J.J. Abrams' film. A prickly interview subject at best, the actor tells it straight when it comes his opinion on, well, anything and it'll be interesting to hear what he has to say about his reversal when the press rounds for 'Episode 7' get underway. For now though, it's interesting to see just how little he cared for Han Solo over the years.

“Star Wars” fans. They’re so demanding. May 4th, Star Wars Day is alleged d-day for casting, the day most of the cast will be revealed, but that doesn’t stop audiences—hell, even bloggers—from demanding “reveal the damn cast already.” Well, we might be getting closer. Because no one really knows nothing, the latest rumors have been running wild and free for a while. But because names are coming up over and over again, perhaps these rumors are starting to solidify.

The Expendables 3
Well, here's a movie that won't be playing Cannes or coming anywhere near it: "The Expendables 3." It's not high art, and these things are barely movies at all, but they do have explosions and old dudes causing those explosions and that's all some folks need.
