Celebrities and rock stars throwing their weight behind a good cause is nothing new. Charitable organizations and awareness campaigns often benefit from famous faces making an appearance or issuing statements to help bring attention to whatever issue is being promoted, but usually that involvement -- at least on a public level -- tends to be short term. But for those getting involved in the case of the West Memphis 3, three young men wrongfully accused and convicted of murdering three children, it seems it came with the kind of price tags that were unexpected.
