The Wolverine Logan Viper
It's one of those mornings. Super hero spoilers left and right! Oh no, what will you do? While there's no shortage of blogs telling you the second a "Wolverine" trailer will appear weeks in advance, aside from new photos this morning, there haven't been a ton of marketing materials on the Hugh Jackman-starring super hero film as of yet. At least, certainly not any video. That's changing fast.

Compared to some of its summer blockbuster superhero competition -- "Iron Man 3" and "Man Of Steel" -- "The Wolverine" has been playing its cards close to its chest. We've seen a smattering of images, and lots of encouraging talk from director James Mangold and star Hugh Jackman, but not a frame of footage so far, and in general the film's a little more under the radar than its rivals, though we suppose that's fair enough, given that it won't hit theaters 'til much later.

While we've talked a lot about "The Wolverine," and recently dove into the diverse array of influences James Mangold is bringing to the table, we're still yet to experience the saturated marketing that's been promised. In fact, we haven't seen a moving image from the picture yet, though a trailer is due sometime between now and the end of the month. So until then? Here are a few more pictures to tide you over.

Though an accomplished, best selling author with a shelf full of titles to his name, only one book by Harlan Coben has made it to the big screen -- Guillaume Canet's adaptation of "Tell No One." Not a bad start at all (though an American remake by Ben Affleck is brewing), and now another one of his works is headed down the film path, with a pretty big star attached.

Review: 'Movie 43' Strains For Laughs With Uninspired Collection Of Comedy Shorts

What is there to say, analytically, about “Movie 43”? Not released in theaters as much as inexplicably materializing in front of our very eyes, “Movie 43” has no moral, no overarching story, and no point other than the opportunity for Hollywood stars to play silly for a short while. Some of them relish this – a few of the performers are a natural at studied wackiness. Some aren’t as comfortable. Others just seem like they’re passing the time. The filmmakers who collaborated on this anthology film, however, mostly fit that last description. Despite the title, this… thing…is barely a movie.

If the box office was anything to go by, if you saw any movie on Christmas Day with your family/friends/ON YOUR OWWWWN, it was "Les Misérables," Tom Hooper's blockbuster adaptation of the long-running musical stage adaptation of Victor Hugo's epic novel. Complete with an all-star cast of Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, Helena Bonham-Carter and Eddie Redmayne, the film might have gotten some mixed responses, but it was overwhelmingly the favorite choice of audiences on the 25th, and looks likely to be a major force when Oscar nominations are announced in a couple of weeks.

After seeing their latest films open to massive Christmas Day box office returns, Hugh Jackman and Christoph Waltz have earned a brief respite from weeks of tirelessly plugging “Les Miserables” and “Django Unchained” on the national press circuit. However, that’s not to say those junket days yielded nothing, as the actors’ cameo comments on both the latest 'X-Men' and 'Muppet' movies prove just the intriguing opposite.

Oh, so Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe got togther at Joe's Pub and belted out a tune from "Les Miserables"? It's just another Saturday night in New York City. And while the upcoming film has already screened for critics, for audiences awaiting the big screen musical, this is a nice tease to hold them over until Christmas Day.
