It was only a couple of months ago that we saw the first (english-subtitled) trailer for the new Studio Ghibli film, “From Up On Poppy Hill.” The film is written by Hayao Miyazaki and directed by his son, Goro Miyazaki (“Tales From Earthsea”) and the voice cast for the English-language dub has been revealed.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that spooky Isabelle Fuhrman will headline David Gordon Green's long-discussed but now-actually-happening "Suspiria" remake, comes word that several more actors have joined the cast. In a piece about French production company Wild Bunch's Cannes slate, ScreenDaily reports that international treasure Isabelle Huppert has joined the cast of "Suspiria" alongside Janet McTeer, Michael Nyqvist and Antje Traue. This cast is already scary good.

We're about to move towards yet another act of David Gordon Green's career. The filmmaker started off with "George Washington," "All The Real Girls" and "Undertow" as a possible heir to Terrence Malick's meditative indie throne, but took a severe left-turn about five years back into abrasive stoner comedy, a shift which had both its successes ("Pineapple Express," "Eastbound & Down") and failures ("Your Highness," "The Sitter"). But for now, it seems, the director is about to try something new, and move into the horror world for his long-gestating remake of Dario Argento's horror classic "Suspiria."

Soon-to-be fifteen year old actress Isabelle Fuhrman is carving out quite a career for herself. She first came to notice as the creepy Esther in the horror flick "Orphan," went the indie route for "Salvation Boulevard" and this spring she'll feature in her first major tentpole with "The Hunger Games" playing Clove. And it looks like she's impressing the right people and she'll join one of the biggest movie stars on the planet -- and his son -- in another futurist tale.
