Despite being rumored to be in a showdown with Tom Cruise for the lead role in Guillermo Del Toro's upcoming 3D adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's "At The Mountain Of Madness" and even being touted as the early studio favorite, James McAvoy has now revealed he's heard nothing regarding the Del Toro project let alone anything about an offer to take the lead role of Dyer.

Director Reveals Plot Details: CIA Joins Forces With X-Men, Magneto Like Sean Connery Bond, Professor X A WomanizerIf you're anything like us you generally only like (and sometimes can only tolerate) realistic super-hero films. Granted, men and (sometimes) women running around in tights battling crime or fighting super villains is never "realistic," but the films that can manage to suspend our disbelief the most -- "The Dark Knight," "X2" -- tend to be our favorites.

Director Matthew Vaughn Says He's Never Felt This Much "Pressure" On Making A MovieOK, this is muuuuuch better. Recent photos of Matthew Vaughn's "X-Men: First Class" leaked on the Internet with the cast in costume and well, they essentially looked like cast off test images from Brett Ratner's "X-Men: The Last Stand" -- definitely not anyone's favorite of the "X-Men" franchise. Heralded as a back-to-basics prequel set in the '60s, the leaked image -- apparently it wasn't ready for public consumption, but once it's out it's out -- seemed to be antithetical to the idea of a group of mutants first finding one another and eventually becoming part of a school of mutants and then a super hero team.

Cruise Not Officially Signed On To Either Project Yet; Seth Rogen Denies His Musical InvolvementOK quickly, two things. While Tom Cruise will probably sign on to star in the musical "Rock of Ages" eventually, the man is notoriously picky so he must be asking for the script to be tweaked slightly or something because he's been in discussions to take a supporting part in Adam Shankman's new film for what feels like more than six months now (OK, it's more like four).

3D/CG Film Will Also Feature The Voice of Imelda Staunton How does Santa deliver all those toys on his own? Sure, he has tremendous help from the wage slave labor camp he runs beyond the jurisdiction of the United Nations populated with emaciated elves that start working almost as soon as they are able to walk. This system has been accepted for years, but a new film is set to shatter the illusion of Santa delivering those gifts by himself, save for the reindeer he illegally keeps without permits to run his sleds.
