It's hard to believe that in just a few weeks, after years of hopes, rumors, speculation and wishful thinking, a brand new season of "Arrested Development" will be here. And it won't be parceled out with an episode each week -- instead, Netflix is going to drop all 15 in one go, prompting marathon viewing across the nation, and challenging servers from coast to coast.

Seven years in the making, and honestly not something many realistic pragmatists like us thought would ever come to pass, “Arrested Development” is returning in May on Netflix with all the 15 episodes at once, so you can binge through them all in one sitting, as is the norm for big TV digestion these days. No, it’s not quite a fourth season, or at least says Jason Bateman, but it’s the continuation of the Bluth’s story some 10 years later. Entertainment Weekly’s cover story last week has an awesome breakdown of the “Arrested Development” return and how unflappable series creator Mitch Hurwitz willed it into existence with unwavering tenacity.

“It’s the story of shame, cunning, thievery, dishonor, backstabbing, deceit, bold-faced lying, one-upmanship, psychological torture, lust, financial ruin, and magic, all supported by a very broad beam of dysfunctional love,” Will Arnett says about the upcoming season or batch of episodes or whatever-you-want-to-call-it of "Arrested Development." And that's just fine by us.

Many writers say they prefer not to start the writing process with a theme in mind – they simply let it emerge organically from their plot or characters. But then, plenty of films have gone the other way. The multi-strand, interconnected drama revolving around a particular subject or theme, like Steven Soderbergh’s take on the war on drugs in “Traffic,” or Paul Thomas Anderson’s examination of coincidence and happenstance in “Magnolia,” have proved particularly popular in recent years. And given that they garlanded financial and critical success, it makes sense that others have set out to follow in their footsteps.

Bananas and ice cream sandwiches -- if you're a fan of "Arrested Development" you already know what those things mean to show, and if you don't, you should be catching up on all three seasons right now before the batch of new episodes hit Netflix next month. All this to say, there are three new posters for the upcoming not-really-a-season, and with both Jason Bateman and David Cross currently on the interview rounds for their respective indies ("Disconnect" and "It's A Disaster"), the inevitable question about the potential movie keeps rearing its head.

It's almost hard to believe that the return of “Arrested Development,” while only a month away from its May Netflix premiere, is really happening -- perhaps partly because the event's been so anticipated, and partly because so little has been revealed on its contents. Drips of info have been leaked here and there though, and with a round of cast panels and interviews over the weekend, that info has just increased.

In the works for a while now, "Horrible Bosses 2" seemed inevitable. The first film – great concept, pretty dull execution – powered its way to over $200 million worldwide. So no surprise that at the beginning of 2012, word first started burbling about a sequel, and by the summer, Seth Gordon was being offered the director's chair to return. Well, he's back, as are the three principal leads.
