Going into "Fast & Furious 6" in a couple of weeks time, you'll already know that a sequel has the green light and is already in pre-production for release next summer, with James Wan directing. As far back as 2011, rumors have been swirling that the sixth and seventh chapters in the 'Furious' saga would be telling one massive, linked story. Then as "Fast & Furious 6" started gearing up in earnest, Jason Statham was heavily touted to join, only for him to reportedly turn down the movie. But the rumors persisted, and earlier this year a mega-spoiler arrived indicating that Statham would be in the franchise, but for "Fast & Furious 7." That's all we'll say (click the link to get the full dirt).

Jason Statham's known for pretty much one thing: cracking heads. From "The Transporter" to his most recent film "Parker," if you see his big bald mug on the poster, you can be pretty sure that the film's going to involve the actor kicking seven shades of shit out of anyone and everyone that crosses his path (with the possible exception of "Gnomeo & Juliet."). If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Or ideally, hit it with an iron pipe until it's broke.

While she may be best known for her role in the successful ABC sitcom “Modern Family,” it appears Sofia Vergara’s looking to make her mark on the big screen as well. Yesterday we saw her featured in this character one sheet for Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete Kills” and if you thought that was enough, now she will be joining Jason Statham in “Heat,” a remake of the 1986 Burt Reynolds-lead film.

Box Office: 'Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters' Tops Slow Weekend

So, did the big fairy tale boom happen? “Alice In Wonderland” burst out of the gate with a billion dollar gross, leading the way for two Snow White movies that performed respectably, if not powerfully. And here in January, we have another, the R-rated “Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters.” The fact that it was this weekend’s number one box office attraction still clouds the question as to whether the fairy tale movement actually happened, is happening, or was nipped in the bud: this was a January dump, and it’s doubtful the picture’s going to have legs at all. But hey, for three days, they’re number one!

Review: 'Parker' Is A Visually Indistinguishable, Punishingly Violent, And Painfully Inert Pulp Trifle

The character of Parker is one of those icons of hard-boiled pulp fiction – a smart alecky bruiser created by legendary novelist Donald Westlake (under his Richard Stark nom de plume), who appeared in over a dozen novels, a handful of cinematic adaptations (most notably portrayed by Lee Marvin in "Point Blank"), and a number of cross-media platforms (like the recent beautifully realized comic books written and drawn by Darwyn Cooke). In the novels, Parker wasn't a superhero – he was a criminal who would take a beating or bite a bullet but keep on chugging; an unstoppable everyman.

If you're a professional thief, living outside the law, you'd think that if you're going to wear a disguise it would be more than putting on a pair of glasses or wearing a cowboy hat. But then again, when it comes to Jason Statham, he breaks all the rules. The first trailer for "Parker" is here and well...it's a Jason Statham movie.

Jason Statham is practically a genre unto himself. So when it comes to marketing a movie with him in it, we understand that you don't need complicate things. But there is such a thing as taking things a bit too easy.

Review: Jean-Claude Van Damme Shines In The Moronically Irresistible Entertainment Of ‘Expendables 2’

“The Expendables 2” is one of the very few films that gets better as it gets dumber. Serviceably directed, horribly written and barely acted at all except for a standout performance by (of all people) Jean-Claude Van Damme, it mostly delivers in the way that the original failed to, which is by enabling action stars to charm their way through an incredibly hackneyed and conventional storyline. Nevertheless an irresistibly fun alternative to the so-called grown-up fare that has attempted to replace the escapism of '80s and ‘90s blockbusters, “The Expendables 2” offers a welcome roundup of action stars who simultaneously – and satisfyingly – celebrate and send up their former glories.

It's Jason Statham Vs. James Franco In The Sylvester Stallone-Penned Actioner 'Homefront'

The last few actioners in Jason Statham's CV have been pretty disappointing, box office-wise. But can you blame the audience? It's hard to find the proper enemy for the musclebound Brit, with him taking out Aiden GIllen in "Blitz," smacking up faceless mafia goons in "Safe" and eating Clive Owen's lunch in "Killer Elite." But thanks to an assist from "The Expendables" buddy Sylvester Stallone, Statham's about to match up with Hollywood's great puzzle box that is James Franco.

The old men of summer are back, having rubbed in the gallons of Ben-Gay and endured the hernias for "The Expendables 2," the most expendable movie since the last one. And now a new clip has come along to highlight just how potentially terrible this will be.
