Jay Baruchel, Craig Robinson and Seth Rogen in This Is the End
Upon viewing the abundance of “This is the End” clips and trailers that are available online, one thing is for certain: these guys had a lot of fun making this movie. You’ve got James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, etc. all getting to play fictionalized versions of themselves in an apocalyptic comedy co-directed by Rogen (alongside Evan Goldberg). Sounds like a grand old time. But will us average movie-going folk enjoy it half as much as they will? That’s the question.

So April Fools' Day is (thankfully) nearing an end and it looks like Bryan Singer and the folks behind "This Is The End" win the day. The former fooled Variety with a joke tweet about Lady Gaga playing Dazzler in "X-Men: Days Of Future Past," while the latter dropped a joke teaser for "Pineapple Express 2" masquerading as a quick teaser for the apocalypse comedy. Well, they've decided to finish the day with a brand new red band trailer, and yeah, this looks like it'll be something of a cameo filled blast.

"The End Of The World" is coming, and no, we're not talking about the Mayan nonsense that has tinfoil hat types stocking up on batteries and water. We're talking about Seth Rogen's directorial debut (he shares the chair with longtime writing collaborator Evan Goldberg, and yes, they both penned the script), the apocalypse comedy that's now called "This Is The End." And the first red band spot is here.

One of the more pleasant surprises of the year was Seann William Scott’s turn in the Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg-penned hockey comedy “Goon.” The Canuck laffer has spawned something of a cult, with the movie being a favorite in some corners of the internet, in addition to it doing strong business north of the border. Now it looks like we’ll get to see the continuing adventures of the Halifax Highlanders on the big screen.

Jackie Earle Haley, the actor best known in Academy circles for his comeback role in 2006's "Little Children," and in genre cliques for playing Freddie Kruger in the rebooted "Nightmare On Elm Street" series and appearing as Rorschach in "Watchmen," has just bagged a new role. The 51-year-old actor, who found success as a child in the '70s with "The Bad News Bears" series and 1979's acclaimed coming-of-age movie "Breaking Away," has joined the cast of yet another reboot: "RoboCop." Haley will portray Maddox, a man who dispenses the military training to Robocop.

"Cosmopolis," an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s typically provocative novel of the same name, is the first feature film since 1999's "eXistenZ" that filmmaker David Cronenberg has directed and scripted. This in part explains why "Cosmopolis" is such a triumph: it’s both an exceptional adaptation and a remarkable work unto itself.

So, will "Cosmopolis" be the freaky return to form that David Cronenberg's fans have been waiting for? Or will it be this year's "Southland Tales" at the Cannes Film Festival? In about a week we'll find out. Until then, here are some more images from the film to get you primed.

Known as the place of free healthcare, politeness and saying "about" weird, you wouldn't initially think of Canada as a hotbed of punk rock, but for those of you dialed in, you already know the nation has laid claim to many legendary acts over the years (Nomeansno, D.O.A., Asexuals, The Diodes, SNFU, Subhumans etc.) and now Jay Baruchel, of all people, is going to help tell the story.
