Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Looks like somebody has a case of the Mondays. The cherished children's book "Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" by Judith Viorst is headed to the big screen, and it looks like it will live up to the title in more ways than one.

Draft Day
There have been countless movies made about football, but there has never been a movie made about the NFL Draft–that magical day when sports franchises from around the country vie for the hottest college players in an intense, all-day affair that combines the showmanship of a Vegas show (complete with costumed players walking onto a brightly lit stage) and the number-crunching intensity of a last minute tax audit. Thankfully, the new Ivan Reitman movie “Draft Day,” starring Kevin Costner as a high strung general manager of the Cleveland Browns, repositions this mixture of pageantry politicking as a thrilling analytic free-for-all; it’s “Moneyball” as directed like an episode of “24.”

Draft Day
If there's a running theme in Kevin Costner's films for 2014, it's recruitment. In "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit," the title says it all with Costner enlisting Chris Pine for some covert action, then in "3 Days To Kill" the actor himself is hired to kick some ass, Euro style. And then later on the spring, Costner will head downfield for "Draft Day" where the thrill of the titular event will be turned cinematic.

Dallas Buyers Club
It's 1986, just months after Rock Hudson's death brings AIDS to its biggest public attention yet, but as far as Ron Woodruff (Matthew McConaughey) is concerned, the real tragedy is the number of Hollywood babes the legendary actor could've easily bedded if he was straight. Along with cocaine, booze and whatever else can give him a good time, sex is an addiction for the Texas man, who seems to have been born with a cowboy hat on his head, a Budweiser in his hand and one eye constantly on the opposite sex. He's a good ol' boy and hustler, playing for and betting on anything. His rundown trailer is merely where he lays his head between the bar, his work as an electrician and wherever else his adventures might take him. But lately he's been getting rail thin, coughing a lot and even passing out. It's only after a freak electrical accident on a work site that he winds up being seen by a doctor, and a brief high voltage jolt is the least of his problems. He's got HIV, and he's given 30 days to live.

With Blumhouse having a great weekend with "Insidious: Chapter 2" destroying the box office, leading to near instant development on a third movie, the horror house is barely stopping to take a breath. They've announced yet another scare flick with a one word title beginning the letter "I"—"Incarnate."

Jason Reitman, Adam Sandler, Jennifer Garner, Rosemarie DeWitt
Jason Reitman is about to have a very busy Toronto. In addition to unveiling his new film, the already seriously polarizing crime drama "Labor Day," starring Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet (you can read our take on it here), he is also staging one of his starry script readings, this time of Paul Thomas Anderson's "Boogie Nights." And if that wasn't enough, the director of "Juno" and "Young Adult" is also lining up his next project at the festival: an adaptation of Chad Kultgen's novel "Men, Women and Children," with Adam Sandler, Jennifer Garner, Rosemarie DeWitt and Cameron Diaz attached.
