It's a pretty good time to be Jennifer Lawrence. The actress is not only a major part of two franchises -- "The Hunger Games" and the new Matthew Vaughn directed 'X-Men' films -- but she's making major strides in the dramatic realm as well, starring in this fall's David O. Russell flick "The Silver Linings Playbook," with Susanne Bier's period tale "Serena" already in the can. And moreover, she's lining up big projects to fit in between the blockbusters, including an adaptation of the acclaimed memoir "The Glass Castle" and more recently, the romantic drama "The Ends Of The Earth." But it's also time for Lawrence to get rewarded for her success so far, and boy, while she ever.

It looks like Harvey Weinstein wants to stay in the Jennifer Lawrence business, and who can blame him? With the actress already leading a hit franchise for Summit in "The Hunger Games" and poised to turn heads with The Weinstein Company's release of David O. Russell's film "The Silver Linings Playbook" later this year, of course they'll want to keep that talent under their roof if possible.

One of the stranger movie tie-in promotional items that, for some reason, continues to this day, is the novelization of the movie. Granted, when we were kids, movie obsession led us to read the book version of a film at one time or another, but do enough people care these days to make the investment in writing and publishing these efforts worth it? They must be, because the upcoming Jennifer Lawrence low-budget thriller "House at the End of the Street" is getting literary.

While The Weinstein Company have quickly gotten the buzz started around Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" and Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master," they've been a bit slower on rolling out the campaign for David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook" after all three screened footage early for press at the Cannes Film Festival. Well, let it begin as the first trailer has arrived, and yes, it shows some strong promise.

Now a franchise queen, Jennifer Lawrence will undoubtedly be moving on to bigger and better things, and indeed, she already has -- the actress shot the period drama "Serena" with director Susanne Bier earlier this year, and will appear in David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook" this fall. But she can't walk away from cheapie fare just yet, as the thriller "The House At The End Of The Street" -- shot before the whole "The Hunger Games" thing -- arrives later this year.

Beautiful girl in a white tank top? Check. Low rent horror concept? Check. Lots of running around and missed cell phone calls? Check. Looks like all the ingredients are in place "The House At The End Of The End Street," the latest low-grade horror movie to feature an actress who has since moved on to much bigger and better things.

Sandwiched between Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master" and Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained," David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook" was the oddball of The Weinstein Company presentation this evening at the Cannes Film Festival. Not that there's anything wrong with it specifically, but just coming in the middle of two much more ambitious, auteur driven movies, only emphasized just how...ordinary and run-of-the-mill Russell's film felt.

It seems that Jennifer Lawrence can't get out of the woods. She made her name with a breakthrough performance in the Southern Gothic tinged "Winter's Bone," and is currently hunting children to the tune of major box office dollars in "The Hunger Games." And before she heads back to Panem, she's gonna get one non-blockbuster effort in the can.
