Sin City A Dame To Kill For
Among the big high-profile comic book sequels of the year ("Captain America," "The Amazing Spider-Man" et al.), there's one that's been a little more under the radar: "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For," Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's sequel to their 2005 green-screen noir. But the marketing campaign is starting to gear up in a big way, with the film's release only a couple of months away, and hot on the heels of that 'controversial' poster (emphasis on the quotation marks, Mr. Weinstein), a new trailer has just landed for the movie.

By this point in the careers of the Coen brothers, they have an embarrassment of past talent to draw upon for the next films. And for their upcoming "Hail Caesar," they've tapped two leading men who have been part of some of their most successful films to date.

Josh Brolin, Thanos In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy
Blah, blah, blah, blah "Ant-Man." While Marvel has yet to resolve that issue, they're hoping to refocus attention on their summer blockbuster "Guardians Of The Galaxy," and what better way to do that than to show off the much talked about villain Thanos?

Josh Brolin, Thanos In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy
While the "Ant-Man" saga has yet to be resolved, last week Marvel gave fans a bit of good news with the announcement of Josh Brolin nabbing the role of Thanos in "Guardians Of The Galaxy" and likely, down the line, "The Avengers 3." But does that mean that for now, Thanos is going to continue to be a bit player in the Marvel universe? New details have emerged providing a bit more detail, and if the headline wasn't obvious enough, there will be spoilers.

Josh Brolin, Thanos In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy
The crime thriller “Sicario” is sounding better and better every day. It’s already being directed by Denis Villeneuve, the filmmaker behind “Prisoners” and “Enemy,” and it stars Emily Blunt and Benicio Del Toro. If that's not enough, celebrated director of photography Roger Deakins, who shot “Prisoners” (so underrated), has confirmed he’ll be the DP on this picture as well.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For
“Sex is absolutely what helps sell this movie, which is fine by me,” Jessica Alba told EW, and she's spot on about what's going to get audiences to buy tickets for this one. Oh sure, "Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" is a sequel to the groundbreaking hit "Sin City," but the movie also promises skin, sleaze and good old fashioned violence, and you can get a sense of all that with these new pics.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For
This summer, you'll have no shortage of bubblegum distractions, but Robert Rodriguez is hoping you'll save some from for something sexy, dirty, violent and dark. The director is back with the sequel, "Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For," and a few more peeks have arrived for the film.

Josh Brolin Says 'Inherent Vice' Goes "In A Direction That The Book Doesn't Necessarily Go"

What do we know so far about "Inherent Vice"? Frankly, not a helluva lot outside of the fantastic ensemble cast and the return of Johnny Greenwood to the composer's podium. And even with a release date set for later this year, "Inherent Vice" was curiously absent in Warner Bros. presentation this week at CinemaCon (though we really don't see Paul Thomas Anderson being convinced by anybody to splice sizzle footage from his movie for an industry conference). But there has been one person talking loudly about the project: Josh Brolin.

Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For
Eight years after audiences first visited the monochrome, rain slicked, bullet filled streets of "Sin City," are they ready to go there again? Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller certainly hope so, with talk of a TV series and "Sin City 3" already percolating. But to get there, the awkwardly titled "Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" will need to make some major waves, and the first trailer is here to entice with more pulpy adventures.

Review: Jason Reitman's Dreary 'Labor Day' Starring Josh Brolin & Kate Winslet

Labor Day
Short of helming a "Smurfs" sequel, it's tough to imagine writer-director Jason Reitman going for a greater change of pace than he has with "Labor Day," a full-immersion exercise in the old-fashioned women's weepie that skews far closer to Nicholas Sparks' brand of contrivance than Diablo Cody territory. Give him credit for breaking with trademark satirical impulses so completely that counting the laughs in his self-penned script—based on a 2010 Joyce Maynard novel—doesn't require two hands. But the (sorry) laboriousness of the plot's romance-novel machinations ensures there'll be at least a few dry eyes in the house.
