You know, with Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep already starring in this thing, the filmmakers could populate the rest of "August: Osage County" with circus clowns, and not only would the two leads still deliver strong performances, and inevitable Oscar nominations would follow. It looks like the folks behind the film plan to surround their leads with some strong talent, and two more reliable names are coming on board.

So, you might remember that a couple of years ago it was revealed that "Precious" director Lee Daniels was attached to direct a remake of Federico Fellini's classic "Nights Of Cabiria." Well, thankfully, that never came to pass, but guess what, this car crash of a bad idea is still happening.

We've lost track of what movies are becoming TV shows and what TV shows are becoming movies, which is why we kind of totally forgot this was happening at all. But John Grisham's "The Firm" -- the best-selling novel turned servicable, engrossing-on-cable-at-2-AM Tom Cruise vehicle -- is headed to NBC and a couple of teasers have arrived in advance of its debut in 2012.

Everyone has a bugbear. One actor or actress who, for no easily explainable reason, they find phenomenally irritating. For this writer, that person is Juliette Lewis. It's not that she's a bad actress -- she's given performances that are, objectively, good, in films from "Cape Fear" to "Conviction" -- it's that there's something about her that irritates us down to the very marrow of our bones, to the extent that we had to be physically restrained from fleeing the screening room after seeing her name in the credits for Drew Barrymore's "Whip It."

Juliette Lewis was only seen in a couple of poorly received films last year -- "The Switch" and "Conviction" -- but here's the thing: she was the best part about either film. As the hippy dippy friend in the former and the key white trash witness in the latter, Lewis was alive and engaging in a way the rest of the film around her wasn't (and yes, she did a brief cameo in "Due Date" as well). Moving into this year, the actress is lining up a couple more films that will hopefully fire on all cylinders.

Liam Neeson Scene Will Have "Gravity"; Phillips Still Working On John Belushi Biopic With Zach Galifianakis In Mind"The Hangover 2" quickly went from highly anticipated sequel shooting somewhat under the radar to a picture that now has a neverending stream of news coming out about the film. You would think Edward and Bella were in this thing, but we suppose that's what happens when you attempt to cast Mel Gibson in an ill-advised cameo. Combine that with press rounds for "Due Date" happening shortly after all of this broke and you have the perfect storm, so consider this a wrap up of the news of all things Todd Phillips-related in the past 48 hours or so.
