If movies were stocks, I’d tell you to invest your retirement funds into rapture/end of the world flicks. Coming out on this side of 2012, I would’ve thought that particular genre would be all dried up, but they seem to be in demand. “After Earth” and “Oblivion” explored Earths that were ravaged by disaster and there’s still “The World’s End”, “This is the End," and “Rapture-Palooza” left to go. Now HBO is getting in on the end of world with Damon Lindelof’s “The Leftovers” which just found its lead actor.

So, what do we know about the long-rumored, long-developing "Doctor Strange" movie. Well, it has been confirmed as part of Marvel's Phase Three plans along with "Ant-Man," but that's about it. But if these latest rumors are to be believed (and as always take with a bit of a grain of salt), the comic studio may be starting to feel out leading men.

Justin Theroux's career as a triple threat actor, director, and writer continues. Coming off another strong comedic turn in this year's hippie colony comedy "Wanderlust," Theroux is set to follow-up his underrated feature-film debut, "Dedication" with a new comedy called, "Swear To God."

Justin Theroux Rewriting Script With Director Adam ShankmanIt's always satisfying when someone finds success later in life, having worked quietly for years, and we're delighted that the latest actor to follow that path is Bryan Cranston. The 55-year-old has credits stretching back 30 years, and achieved relative fame as the father in long-running sitcom "Malcolm in the Middle," but he demonstrated a range far beyond a sitcom dad with his turn as the cancer-riddled, meth-dealing chemistry teacher at the center of AMC's "Breaking Bad," which has seen the veteran win three Emmys on the trot.
