Karen Black, Mick Turner's "The Bird Catcher" Video
Guitarist and musician Mick Turner's resume speaks for itself. Not only has he earned acclaim as a member of instrumental outfit Dirty Three but he's also logged time as part of The Tren Brothers, while working with an array of artists and groups including Cat Power, Boxhead Ensemble, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and even contributed to the score of John Hillcoat's "The Proposition." But he's also been turning out records under his own name and so coming soon is his latest album Don't Tell The Driver, and he's got a pretty special video to go with it.

There are few actresses from the heady, wild days of American cinemas golden age of the 1970s who could count Robert Altman, Bob Rafelson, John Schlesinger, Jack Nicholson, Dennis Hopper and even Alfred Hitchcock as collaborators. But one who had all of their names (and more) on her CV was Karen Black, and she has passed away today at the age of 74.
