Even though they have an Oscar under their belt for Alexander Payne's "The Descendants," screenwriters Nat Faxon and Jim Rash will be at Park City next month as newbie directors, with their feature debut "The Way, Way Back" ready to unpsool. We got our first look at the movie in August, but now another new snap has arrived of Sam Rockwell, who stars in the flick alongside a pretty solid cast including Steve Carell, Maya Rudolph, AnnaSophia Robb, Allison Janney, Rob Corddry and more. Here's the synopsis: Duncan, an introverted 14-year-old, comes into his own over the course of a comedic summer when he forms unlikely friendships with the gregarious manager of a rundown water park and the misfits who work there.

This week sees the release of Andrew Dominik's "Killing Them Softly," a gripping little crime movie than threatens to be one of The Playlist's highlights of 2012. And among its many pleasures is the chance to see some character actor favorites like James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, and newer up-and-comers like Scoot McNairy and Ben Mendelsohn given substantial roles to chew on. Best of all is a major role for the incomparably great Richard Jenkins.

Maybe we should watch Adult Swim more often instead of going to bed early, but thankfully we live in the wonderful world of YouTube. Late last Thursday night, the network aired "The Greatest Even In Television History" and featuring a gallery of our favorite people, and while it's a pretty awesome concept, it's even better because it lives up to the promise.

The paths of Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have crossed many times in movies such as "Wedding Crashers," "Zoolander," "Starsky & Hutch," "Anchorman" and "Old School." And lucky for us, they will all be meeting up once again. Ferrell is slated to take a cameo role in currently lensing "The Internship," the movie that finds Vaughn and Wilson playing recently downsized men in their forties who try to make it as interns at a successful Internet company where their managers are in their twenties. So who will Ferrell play? Well, he'll be "Wilson's brother-in-law, who sells home electronics and has no problem making inappropriate comments about his attractive customers." So improv heaven -- sounds good to us. Lensing is underway on the Shawn Levy-directed movie which should hit theaters sometime next year.

Though already quite funny on his own, Ben Stiller has always been very smart about surrounding himself with other top-shelf players, not only taking the entire pressure of carrying a movie off his shoulders, but earning big comic rewards from the chemistry of collaboration. And that is certainly bearing out for "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty." Kristin Wiig, Adam Scott, Patton Oswalt and Shirley MacLaine are already all signed up, and now another very funny lady is adding her talents as well.
