This week sees the DVD and Blu-ray release of "Bachelorette" starring Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, Lizzy Caplan and Rebel Wilson. This raunchy, unflinching, darkly comic indie was written and directed by Leslye Headland ("Terriers") and follows three best friends (Caplan, Fisher, Dunst) who are invited to act as bridesmaids at the wedding of a girl (Wilson) they called “Pigface” in high school.

In Juan Juan Solanas.' fantasy romance "Upside Down," twin planets exist with opposite gravities and social restrictions of Dickensian thematic heft. "Up Top" boasts gleaming skyscrapers, well-dressed citizens, and the majority of wealth, while "Down Below" struggles in poverty and mud-stained existence. Between the two, Adam (Jim Sturgess) and Eden (Kirsten Dunst) live out their own interstellar "Romeo and Juliet," torn apart by family as well as physics. If a smirk emerged from hearing any of these names or locations, it will remain over the course of Juan Solanas.' indulgent swirl of symbolism; but that doesn't mean there aren't moments of visual splendor and escapist fun to temporarily break up the expression.

It's coming on three years now since shooting began on "Upside Down," but the movie is finally making its way to theaters, and it's been spruced up with a 3D conversion. But one can't help but wonder if the timing on this just isn't that ideal. Why?

Did you know that Walter Salles and screenwriter Jose Rivera have three more unproduced screenplays? Or that Rivera isn't exactly thrilled that some of the lines in "On The Road" were adlibbed? Or that Salles was contractually obligated to bring in an edit of two hours? In case you missed it, those are some of the fascinating highlights from Rivera's presentation of the movie at BAM over the weekend and you can read our full recap right here. And after you've done that, take a look at the below...

As last year's smash hit "Bridesmaids" showed, girls can get just as rowdy as guys, and deliver big laughs and box office along the way. And while that film told the story of marriage and it's effect on friendship from the engagement right to the wedding day, it missed one key component of that whole arc. And that's where "Bachelorette" fits in.

While the first trailer for "Bachelorette" was amusing, it didn't seem to quite capture the spirit that has earned the girls-gone-bad comedy an R rating. But in case you wanted to know how foul things get, a new red band spot has dropped, and among the first things mentioned in the spot are blowjobs and cocaine. Getting our attention? Mission accomplished.

There's no doubt the "Bridesmaids" comparisons will be thrown around for this one, and certainly the success of that film likely helped this one get in front of cameras last summer, but there are some slight variations in "Bachelorette." While in Paul Feig's film the bachelorette party ultimately gets canceled, here it's the centerpiece of the entire movie. Moreover, "Bachelorette" looks like it could be substantially fun, and the cast is certainly nothing to sneeze at.
