The Two Faces Of January
“I love the cruelty in her writing,” "The Two Faces Of January" writer/director Hossein Amini said at the Sydney Film Festival (via Variety) about author Patricia Highsmith, whose novel serves as the source material for his film. “Viggo really embraces the ugly side of characters…not a lot of stars do.” And you can see how ugly Viggo Mortensen gets with this new trailer for the thriller.

The Two Faces Of January
Intrigue comes in all sorts of packages, but there will probably be few movies this year more glamorous than "The Two Faces Of January." Set in sunny Greece, with the lead actors Viggo Mortensen, Oscar Isaac and Kirsten Dunst all looking their finest, it's a thriller that takes time to look good too, and a new clip and featurette are here to share a little more.

The Two Faces Of January
Before you’ll see him running around in a galaxy far, far away next year, Oscar Isaac will be running around in the Mediterranean helping Viggo Mortensen and Kirsten Dunst deal with a dead body in Hossein Amini’s directorial debut “The Two Faces Of January.” A new clip from the film plus a brand new behind-the-scene featurette have landed online for your viewing pleasure.

The Two Faces Of January
Sometimes, you just want to watch a trio of actors bite into some decent material and have at it. And that's the hope for "The Two Faces Of January," which brings together Oscar Isaac, Kirsten Dunst and Viggo Mortensen for a sun-baked thriller.

The Two Faces Of January
A sun-dappled backdrop against which intrigue, murder and romance play out sounds right up our alley, and certainly, the associated names with "The Two Faces of January" are impressive. It's based on a novel by Patricia Highsmith ("The Talented Mr. Ripley"), is written and directed by Hossein Amini (the guy who penned "Drive") and it features three excellent leads: Oscar Isaac, Kirsten Dunst and Viggo Mortensen. And certainly, this first clip from the film shows some promise.

Amityville Horror Franck Khalfoun
So, why another "The Amityville Horror"? Because they can. And because the last attempt at a reboot was in 2005 (you know, the one starring Ryan Reynolds) which, in Hollywood years, is ancient history. So Dimension Films and Blumhouse Productions are going to bring this back to life, and they are going Disney Channel with the lead.

Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind
It’s 2008. April-ish. Manchester. My girlfriend of 18 months and I have just broken up. The first really serious, vaguely grown-up relationship, the one that makes you understand why people put themselves through all of that stuff. It's been on its way for a while, but the plug was finally pulled in a phone call, one that we both cry our way through. Eventually, we hang up. I could get on with this new life, or I could drink myself into warm, nauseous oblivion until I don’t feel the absence anymore. Behind me, on the wall (tatty, faded, and with the top-left corner hanging off, because I haven’t yet taken that step into the crucial and significant part of adulthood where you stop using Blu-Tack and start framing your shit), is a poster for “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.”

The Two Faces Of January
On paper, there are any number of reasons to be excited for "The Two Faces of January," which screens during the Berlin Film Festival this week. The three leads, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen and Oscar Isaac are all actors we admire, the director may be a first-timer in this role, but Hossein Amini is the high-profile screenwriter of "Drive" and "Snow White and the Hunstman" and, beyond that, it's based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith, whose books have previously yielded such films as "The Talented Mr Ripley," "Strangers on a Train," and the underseen "Ripley's Game."

The Two Faces Of January
While "The Grand Budapest Hotel," "Nymphomaniac" and "The Monuments Men" have largely taken the spotlight at the Berlin Film Festival, that's not the only star power walking the red carpet. The thriller "The Two Faces Of January" is getting set to unspool and the first trailer is here for the sun baked thriller.

Bachelorette Kirsten Dunst
One of last year's surprise success stories was "Bachelorette," the micro-budgeted theatrical adaptation that ended up being a smash thanks largely to On Demand services and iTunes (exact numbers for which, of course, are never released). Well it looks like "Bachelorette" writer/director Leslye Headland had a great time with star Kirsten Dunst, because they've agreed to reteam for "Sleeping With Other People," once again produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions. What's more they've roped Jason Sudeikis in for the silly, sexy romantic comedy.
