There are few people who have refined to hilarious perfection the intersection of circumstance, happenstance and neuroses quite like Larry David. As a writer/producer on "Seinfeld" and writer/producer/star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," he has created two extensive catalogs to a body of work where anxiety, superficial concerns and selfishness are also instantly relatable, and often gaspingly funny. And while the future of 'Curb' remains in limbo—David has remained undecided on another season, though the door at HBO is wide open for him to walk through at any time—he's instead focused his energy on feature-length movie for the network, that on paper seems like a homerun. Reteaming with "Seinfeld" and 'Curb' writer/producers Alec Berg, David Mandel and Jeff Schaffer, and lining up a staggering cast, the fact that "Clear History" misses the mark as wide as it does isn't so much a disappointment as a complete mystery.

With Larry David continuing to gain plaudits for his long-running HBO series, “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” it was only a matter of time before the “Seinfeld” co-creator turned to something else. “Clear History” tells the story of a man (David) who plots revenge against his boss (Jon Hamm) who made millions off an electric car company. We listed the all-star cast joining the miniseries last September, and a few clips have dropped in anticipation of its debut next weekend.

Holy Yeezus. Rapper, producer, fashion design, art enthusiast and more, we actually had no idea that Kanye West had aspirations to be a comedian too, but alas it seems he did. And the evidence, which has been sitting online for nearly three years, is starting to make the rounds, and it's pretty amazing/weird stuff.

Clear History Larry David Jon Hamm
Let's face it: Larry David isn't an actor. Like his best bud Jerry Seinfeld, he has a very defined comedic box in which he fits, and within those parameters, he's devastatingly hilarious. There's nothing wrong with that -- if you know your strengths and can continue to be great, why not? And while David used an extreme version of himself to power "Curb Your Enthusiasm," his big screen lead outing in Woody Allen's "Whatever Works" didn't quite come together in the eyes of many (though this writer takes a certain shine to it). Can he succeed with his second try at a leading movie role in "Clear History"?

Last month, the plot for Larry David's upcoming improvised comedy was revealed, ending what was an unusual amount of secrecy for the creator of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm." At the time, the project still lacked a name and only had confirmed the casting of Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton and David himself. With HBO stepping in over the summer to release the film, the project is taking shape for a fall shoot and is putting together its cast, roughly about half of Hollywood.

A J.J. Abrams-esque level of secrecy has never been fully associated with “Curb Your Enthusiasm” mastermind Larry David, but as details on both his series and upcoming HBO feature have heretofore remained under wraps, the comparison could hold more weight than initially thought. However, it seems the comic has relented a little on that front, as the storyline for his improv-comedy has been revealed to much delight for those anticipating the return of David's unique brand of humor. Minor spoilers below!

While early word said the upcoming Greg Mottola-helmed Larry David-starring improv comedy was set up over at Fox Searchlight, it looks like the project may be headed to another, more familiar home for David and Mottola: cable channel HBO.

Word on director Greg Mottola's improv-based film starring Larry David took a leap last month with the addition of Jon Hamm, continuing the “Mad Men” actor's gradual public journey from dramatic mainstay to eventual 20-time “SNL” host, but while Hamm is using the film to further his chops, another actor who began his career in the comedy genre looks to duck back into the fray.

Jon Hamm is just unfair. Not that he's done anything wrong -- quite the opposite. It's just that he's a great dramatic actor (as the fifth season of "Mad Men" proved more than ever), a secretly terrific comedic one, chooses consistently interesting projects, has a great sense of humor, is ludicrously handsome, and appears to be pretty much the nicest man in the world. Way to make the rest of us look like dicks, Hamm.

If you were as taken by “Superbad” helmer Greg Mottola’s coming of age comedy “Adventureland” as we were, you’ve probably been pretty eager to see what else he has in store. While he did helm the slight but entertaining road trip alien comedy “Paul,” he was also tapped to helm the pilot for Aaron Sorkin’s “The Newsroom," and only yesterday signed up for the promising task of adapting Jeffrey Eugenides’ “The Marriage Plot” for the big screen. Well, now he has another project brewing that will surely have comedy fans champing at the bit.
