Last month, the plot for Larry David's upcoming improvised comedy was revealed, ending what was an unusual amount of secrecy for the creator of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm." At the time, the project still lacked a name and only had confirmed the casting of Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton and David himself. With HBO stepping in over the summer to release the film, the project is taking shape for a fall shoot and is putting together its cast, roughly about half of Hollywood.

A J.J. Abrams-esque level of secrecy has never been fully associated with “Curb Your Enthusiasm” mastermind Larry David, but as details on both his series and upcoming HBO feature have heretofore remained under wraps, the comparison could hold more weight than initially thought. However, it seems the comic has relented a little on that front, as the storyline for his improv-comedy has been revealed to much delight for those anticipating the return of David's unique brand of humor. Minor spoilers below!

Word on director Greg Mottola's improv-based film starring Larry David took a leap last month with the addition of Jon Hamm, continuing the “Mad Men” actor's gradual public journey from dramatic mainstay to eventual 20-time “SNL” host, but while Hamm is using the film to further his chops, another actor who began his career in the comedy genre looks to duck back into the fray.

Jon Hamm is just unfair. Not that he's done anything wrong -- quite the opposite. It's just that he's a great dramatic actor (as the fifth season of "Mad Men" proved more than ever), a secretly terrific comedic one, chooses consistently interesting projects, has a great sense of humor, is ludicrously handsome, and appears to be pretty much the nicest man in the world. Way to make the rest of us look like dicks, Hamm.

If you were as taken by “Superbad” helmer Greg Mottola’s coming of age comedy “Adventureland” as we were, you’ve probably been pretty eager to see what else he has in store. While he did helm the slight but entertaining road trip alien comedy “Paul,” he was also tapped to helm the pilot for Aaron Sorkin’s “The Newsroom," and only yesterday signed up for the promising task of adapting Jeffrey Eugenides’ “The Marriage Plot” for the big screen. Well, now he has another project brewing that will surely have comedy fans champing at the bit.

We have to admit, we haven't exactly been all too excited about the casting of "The Three Stooges." Going from Jim Carrey, Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro to Will Sasso, Sean Hayes and Chris Diamantopoulos is a bit less than exciting but the supporting cast is renewing our interest. Last week, the very funny Jane Lynch came on onboard as Mother Superior and it looks like she's going to have one helluva colleague. Though perhaps not exactly in the shape we were expecting.

Hank Azaria, Will Sasso, Johnny Knoxville Also MentionedIt's now four years since the last film from one-time comedy titans The Farrelly Brothers. The duo dominated the genre in the 1990s, knocking out three bona-fide classics, "Dumb & Dumber," "Kingpin" and "There's Something About Mary," in quick succession, but their efforts in the last decade ranged from the genial ("Stuck On You," "Fever Pitch") to the unwatchable ("Shallow Hal," "The Heartbreak Kid"). Their latest project, the Owen Wilson/Jason Sudeikis marital comedy "Hall Pass," hits theaters on Friday (and by all accounts, isn't anywhere near a comeback), which finally clears the way for their longtime passion project: "The Three Stooges."
