Every good teen movie needs a soundtrack of great tunes to go with it. For the upcoming "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower," it looks like the filmmakers have to put together one helluva mixtape that will make those who came of age in the '80s and '90s swoon, and perhaps turn some younger music fans on to some decent artists.

Sometimes, movies can spend years being put together (ahem, Terrence Malick), while on the other hand, they can occasionally be knocked out in no time flat. Welcome, to "Writers," the indie flick which shot back in the spring, and is gearing up for a World Premiere at TIFF in the fall.

As students head into summer and free of worrying about homework, teachers, tests and whatever else is on their mind, next fall, a whole new batch of kids will be entering high school for the first time. It can be a terrifying, alienating experience, making the already rough years of adolescence even more difficult, but at least at the cinema, there will be a movie that understands exactly what they're going through.

The waters will rise and life on the planet as we know it will forever be changed. No, we're not talking about the latest environmental documentary, but instead about Darren Aronofksy's brewing Bible epic, "Noah," and with Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Saorise Ronan all booked for passage, a new pair of passengers (of the human variety) are joining them.

If you're looking to launch a trailer for a movie about awkward and difficult adolescence, you'll find a pretty captive audience if you debut it during the MTV Movie Awards. And that's just the game plan Summit Entertainment has taken with "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," the big-screen adaptation of the beloved book.

Six months on from the final 'Harry Potter' film, the young stars of the franchise, who gave half of their lives to date to Hogwarts, are starting to break out on their own. Daniel Radcliffe has just come off a lengthy Broadway run, is starring in the imminent "The Woman in Black," and even impressed as the host on "Saturday Night Live" last weekend, even if he was somewhat undermined by Lana Del Ray discovering on live television that she didn't know what to do with her arms when she sings. Tom Felton added another snivelling villain to his resume in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." And Rupert Grint is doing whatever Rupert Grint does (as it turns out, a Norwegian war movie. Thanks, internets!).

Currently in a tight neck-and-neck race with Roland Emmerich's "Anonymous" to be the stupidest movie of the fall, "The Three Musketeers," which sees "Resident Evil" director Paul W.S. Anderson cunningly reboot Alexandre Dumas' legendary characters for the 21st century by trying to make it look as much like "Resident Evil" as humanly possible, is looming on the release schedule. We've already seen one truly terrible trailer for the film, and now, with the film's October release date coming closer, Summit have released the first one-sheet for the film, via Yahoo.

Logan Lerman isn't yet twenty, but the actor is quickly rising. He nabbed his first tentpole role in "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" -- which has a sequel in the works -- and he's got "The Three Musketeers" arriving later this year and he's set to star in "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower" which will go in front of cameras later this spring. And he's shoring up his resumé with another character driven piece.
