November Man
Perhaps the one sheet of Pierce Brosnan, a man responsible for one of the best incarnations of iconic spy James Bond, with his game face on, pointing a gun under the cheeky tagline "A Spy Is Never Out Of His Game," will be enough to convince some filmgoers that watching “The November Man” won’t be a waste of their time. The image of a scantily clad Olga Kurylenko might be a bonus too. On the other hand, those who aren’t entirely convinced by the poster should ignore the familiar axiom of not judging a book by its cover, and walk away, because other than the prospect of watching one of the best 007’s playing the game again, there’s not much of value or substance in this action thriller.

Actors OTR 2014
In Hollywood, you can be on top of the world one minute, and then a public indiscretion, or a handful of box office disasters, or the simple fact of getting old, can each result in fewer and fewer calls (you can count on hearing from Millennium Entertainment no matter what). Bad news for the old guard, but good news for the many aspiring and talented performers looking to fight their way to billboards, bus shelters and the front few rows of the Academy Awards.

The November Man
For actors of a certain age, gritty action flicks are their new bread and butter, and Hollywood and audiences can't seem to get enough of dudes who look too old to be kicking ass, actually kicking ass. The Best Of Me
The cinematic and literary equivalent of Thomas Kinkade, the work of Nicholas Sparks is all formulaic golden hues and Hallmark sentiments, seemingly spoon-fed annually to a consistent audience of folks who believe in love conquers all. You already know if you'll be seeing "The Best Of Me," but if you're still somehow on the fence or simply curious, the first trailer has arrived.

Actress Lily Collins spent much of last year stuck in franchise panic, as planned heavyweight “The Mortal Instruments” weathered delays and production halts following the first installment’s poor critical and box office reception. Her long-term duty to Cassandra Clare’s series remains uncertain, but for now she’s signed on to another adaptation: “How To Be Single," based on Liz Tuccillo’s novel, written for the screen by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn, and produced by Drew Barrymore.

Another day, a few more names being tossed onto the list for "Fifty Shades Of Grey," as Universal tries to figure out which young hunk is going to look best with their shirt off beside Dakota Johnson. We suppose acting ability could be important too, so who else is in the ever-growing mix?

With "Twilight" wrapping up its final installment this week, there's clearly a certain amount of jostling to be the next big young adult franchise going on. "The Hunger Games" certainly has the early lead, but that franchise is already eyeing its 2015 endgame by hiring Francis Lawrence to direct the two-part finale, 'Mockingjay,' so the field is still fairly open. And there's plenty on the way, with two of the contenders starting to show their wares or shape up their casts.
