Jason Reitman Staging Live Reading 'Glengarry Glen Ross' With All-Female Cast Including Robin Wright, Allison Janney & More

One of the more interesting side gigs among filmmakers these days is Jason Reitman's occassional live readings of famous scripts. The format is pretty straightforward: he picks a script he likes, rounds up a bunch of starry friends and then hosts a live performance with the cast embodying the various roles, and reading it live on stage. “The Breakfast Club,” “Shampoo,” “Reservoir Dogs,” “The Princess Bride,” “The Big Lebowski,” "The Apartment" and "American Beauty" have all been given new interpretations, but his latest choice might be his most intriguing yet.

James Wan briefly looked like he could be a one-hit wonder after his phenomenal franchise-launching success with “Saw.” His directorial follow-ups to the horror sensation failed to connect like his first big hit had…but then he went and made “Insidious.” Now with two big hits on his resume, the future looks a heck of a lot brighter for Wan, with 2013 set to see the release of two more anticipated horror flicks in the form of “Insidious Chapter 2” (which has the original cast returning and picks up where the first movie left off) and “The Conjuring” (also starring Patrick Wilson, this time accompanied by Vera Farmiga).

Adrien Brody & Maria Bello Join Paul Haggis' 'Third Person'

With cameras set to roll on Wednesday for "Crash" director Paul Haggis' latest ensemble drama "Third Person," he's putting the final pieces of casting in place, with a couple more notable names coming on board.
