Project Greenlight
First airing in the early 2000s, "Project Greenlight" ran three seasons (the first two on HBO, the third on Bravo) and turned the struggle to make it in Hollywood into a reality series style event. But a bit classier than the stuff you see now. And the results were interesting, with the show—that follows a first time filmmaker through the steps of making their debut feature—bringing the Shia LaBeouf starring "The Battle Of Shaker Heights" and the horror "Feast" (which spawned two sequels) to the masses. And now, nearly a decade after it ended, producers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are bringing it back.

Ridley Scott To Direct ‘The Martian’ With Matt Damon In The Lead
When Ridley Scott’s “The Martian” was announced with Matt Damon in the lead a few months ago, it sounded like it had a lot of heat and would be next for the prodigious and eclectic filmmaker. And according to writer Simon Kinberg, it is, and it’s shooting this fall.

Bourne 5
Perhaps it was inevitable, and maybe too good to be true. Latino Review has been on a hot streak of movie scoops of late, but perhaps their latest just got stymied. The rumor, as of late last night, was that the 5th Untitled Bourne Film, now delayed until summer 2016, was held over because Matt Damon would be returning to the fold as Jason Bourne to cross paths with new ‘Bourne’ franchise actor Jeremy Renner. Longtime Producer Frank Marshall has said in the past having Renner and Damon in the same ‘Bourne’ film would be his ultimate dream, but apparently that’s not happening for the next movie.

The Bourne Ultimatum Matt Damon
Here we go again. It has been two years since the Jeremy Renner-starring "The Bourne Legacy," and seven years since "The Bourne Ultimatum," and the question the entire time is: will Matt Damon return to the series? And the actor, time and again, has explained the criteria that would need to be met for that to happen. “I’ve always been open to it if Paul Greengrass is the director and … we’ve just never been able to come up with a story,” he said this spring, once more. "It felt like such a good way to end it the last time, but having said that I love that character… and I’d love to see what happened to him." So, could it finally be happening?

Ridley Scott To Direct ‘The Martian’ With Matt Damon In The Lead
Looks like those early reports panned out. In April of this year, Drew Goddard vacated the director’s chair of 20th Century Fox's "The Martian,” but reports surfaced that the studio wanted Matt Damon to play the lead. Well, that turns out to be correct. Damon will star in “The Martian” for Fox and Goddard's replacement will be none other than Ridley Scott.

Jay Roach
"The Trade" has been one of the more intriguing projects on the pile for Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Brewing for years, and at one point threatened with a lawsuit, the project would've reteamed Affleck and Damon on the big screen, with Casey Affleck also involved as a co-writer on the script, working his brother to punch up the 2009 Black List draft by Dave Mandel. And it looks like the film is once again moving, however, with some major changes.

Bourne Ultimatum
Never say never, never say die. If you’re keeping score like we have—or feel obligated to do so—you’ll know Matt Damon keeps playing with our heart and toying with our emotions. The actor has essentially said, Jason Bourne is done, the character has finished his arc, and he’s even talked smack about the screenwriter Tony Gilroy and then quickly retracted it.

Matt Damon Aquaman
Last night came a minor bombshell of news surrounding Warner Bros.' developing "Justice League" movie: Zack Snyder has been tapped to direct, it will shoot back-to-back with "Batman Vs. Superman," and if all goes according to plan, it will hit theatres in 2017. And like we said then, that means there's going to be rumors for at least the next couple of years, especially since the script isn't finished and is still being worked on. So, might as well start now.

With Drew Goddard's plate full right now writing, executive producing, showrunning and directing Marvel's Netflix series "Daredevil," and also now set to write and direct "Sinister Six" for Sony, you might have forgotten last spring that the filmmaker signed up to direct "The Martian" as his followup to "Cabin In The Woods." But those superhero projects have forced Goddard to move on, but that's not stopping Fox.

Often in Hollywood, it's a game of massaging egos versus making decisions that are smart for the bottom line, and Warner Bros. had some tough decisions to make this week. The studio was given the opportunity to come aboard and co-finance "Black Mass," the Johnny Depp-starring flick based on the life of notorious gangster Whitey Bulger. But in doing so they had to kibosh a similar project by one of their golden boys.
