"You see there are several different programmes in the movie with different skill sets. All possibilities are open. My dream is that in the next one we see Matt [Damon] and Jeremy [Renner] team up," producer Frank Marshall said prior to the release of "The Bourne Legacy." But he's unlikely to see that scenario happen now. While Damon had kept his options somewhat open when asked about returning for a possible 'Bourne 5' -- "If we can make one where we go into it feeling it can be even better than those, and it ends up being in that same ballpark, then we should do it. But If we can't, then we really should leave it alone," he said this summer -- it looks like he's firmly closing the door.

Matt Damon Reteams With Terry Gilliam For Small Part In 'The Zero Theorem,' Peter Stormare & Sanjeev Bhaska Also Join Cast

The last time Matt Damon and Terry Gilliam worked together, the results weren't so hot. "The Brothers Grimm" was promising on paper, but a bit of mess in execution, a situation only exacerbated by Harvey Weinstein, who famously meddled with Gilliam and disagreed with his approach on the movie. The result? A product that felt compromised when it was released and one that the director lamented. But either way, it seems everyone enjoyed their experience. Damon's 'Grimm' co-star Heath Ledger reteamed with Gilliam for "The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus" before tragically passing in the midst of production, and now Damon will lend a helping hand to "The Zero Theorem."

"I thought if I could just execute this, even in the most straight down the middle way, I have the possibility of creating a movie that's really unique," Ben Affleck told us last night at the star-studded and swanky Peggy Siegal party for Warner Bros.' "Argo." "With really strong creative partners, I could so something that I'm really proud of. And to be honest with you, I feel this movie is better than anything I've even been involved with in my life."

With all the talk about what "Promised Land" is and isn't about, we'll leave it to co-star Titus Welliver to break it down. "It has great story because it’s really about the issue we face right now with this hydro-fracking. Within that framework is a story about people and how they navigate the idea of making a lot of money when things aren’t exactly how they seem on the surface," he told Hollywood News. "It’s about people going through changes and how they perceive things or what the truths the ideals are that they have, how they change as things unfold. That was an incredible experience." Yep, that's it in a nutshell, and once again the awards season race has shifted with the arrival of the trailer for the film.

What's better than one Affleck? Two Afflecks. And what's better than two Afflecks? Two Afflecks and a Damon. That's right all three are coming together, putting their Voltron like powers toward a project that's a bit unexpected.

Well, if you're gonna go out, might as well do it in a blaze of glory. Steven Soderbergh is in the midst of his final jaunt behind the camera, in production on the Liberace biopic "Behind The Candelabra," with Michael Douglas as the famed performer and Matt Damon as his young lover. But it appears he's got some big plans for this final picture, which may include one last walk down the red carpet in Cannes.

In a crudely poetic way, it's sort of fitting that ever curious, genre hopping Steven Soderbergh's final year behind the camera before he goes on hiatus would find him working on a male stripper pic ("Magic Mike"), a psychological thriller ("The Bitter Pill") and now, a biopic on one the most...flamboyant entertainers of all time, Liberace. And with the movie now shooting, someone has captured of snap of Matt Damon and Michael Douglas on set, in costume. And it is glorious.

Matt Damon Open To 'Bourne 5,' But If 'Legacy' Is A Hit, He Expects The Franchise To Move On Without Him

Poor Matt Damon's got to be somewhat sick of answering questions about the Jason Bourne series, a franchise he's ostensibly not in any more. Or at least, not for now. In case you're living under a rock, Damon and Paul Greengrass walked away from a "Bourne 4" in late 2009 for several reasons, but one of them being a chief creative one: Jason Bourne had discovered who he was, no longer had full amnesia and his story arc had been completed.
