Bet you forgot all about this one, but guess what, so did we. First announced way back in 2011, seemingly shot, completed and then left to collect dust, the thriller "Penthouse North" starring Michael Keaton and Michelle Monaghan now has an international trailer. And thank goodness they are both on to much, much better things.

Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, and Zach Galifianakis will star in Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu’s BIRDMAN.
Generally known for his tough, harrowing dramas like “Amores Perros,” “21 Grams,” “Babel” and “Biutiful,” we've been waiting patiently to see what Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu would be doing next. His options of late have included the con man/criminal drama "Flim-Flam Man" and the period vengeance tale "The Revenant," but it looks like his next feature will find him changing gears in and taking something a lot more lighthearted.

DreamWorks’ upcoming “Need For Speed” had already been busy lining up a pretty decent cast, and that was enough to make us optimistic that this video game adaptation might be the one to buck the trend. Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper and Imogen Poots were the big three so far to give their seal of approval and sign on to star in the Scott Waugh (“Act of Valor”) directed picture, as well as the likes of Rami Malek (“The Master”), Kid Cudi and Ramon Rodriguez. Now the film has gone and added an unexpected name to the cast. Who knows whether he just needs the pay-check or whether he too thinks there’s more to this project than meets the eye, but Michael Keaton will also be feeling the need for speed.

While Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan have taken over the popular image of Batman on the big screen thanks to "The Dark Knight" series of films, it's easy to forget that Michael Keaton was one of the best to ever put on the codpiece. While Tim Burton's distinctly more cartoony films still hold up well, he only ever got to make two, after which the franchise saw a downward trend culminating in the egregious 1997 entry "Batman & Robin," before Nolan and co. restored the character to his current glory. But things might have gone differently...

Last month, the plot for Larry David's upcoming improvised comedy was revealed, ending what was an unusual amount of secrecy for the creator of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm." At the time, the project still lacked a name and only had confirmed the casting of Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton and David himself. With HBO stepping in over the summer to release the film, the project is taking shape for a fall shoot and is putting together its cast, roughly about half of Hollywood.

With filming on "RoboCop" getting rolling soon, director Joseph Padilha describing the production as "hell" and proposed villain Hugh Laurie bailing, we wondered who the filmmakers could find on such short notice to fill a key role. And frankly, it looks like they got someone pretty awesome step in.

While early word said the upcoming Greg Mottola-helmed Larry David-starring improv comedy was set up over at Fox Searchlight, it looks like the project may be headed to another, more familiar home for David and Mottola: cable channel HBO.

Word on director Greg Mottola's improv-based film starring Larry David took a leap last month with the addition of Jon Hamm, continuing the “Mad Men” actor's gradual public journey from dramatic mainstay to eventual 20-time “SNL” host, but while Hamm is using the film to further his chops, another actor who began his career in the comedy genre looks to duck back into the fray.

We’re on the eve of a brand new Batman blockbuster, next month’s “The Dark Knight Rises,” which will feature Anne Hathaway as the semi-villainous cat burglar Selina Kyle who prowls the streets at night as Catwoman. While Christopher Nolan and co. have given some real-world explanations for her eccentricities (her night vision goggles prop up on her head like cat’s ears), the hardest task in defining Catwoman for a new generation will be getting out from under the shadow of Michelle Pfeiffer, whose portrayal in Tim Burton’s “Batman Returns” remains one of the towering performances in all of comic book moviedom.

'Beetlejuice' Sequel Writer Says It Will Be "A True Continuation" & Star "Has To Be" Michael Keaton

When it was first announced that a "Beetlejuice" sequel was in the works last month there was concern. Not only is Tim Burton's 1988 film an unassailable classic (of sorts) there is only one person to play the role and his name is Michael Keaton. But with vague word that the movie would be “advancing the storyline of the original” we worried about the direction this thing was going in and whether or not some ambitious young actor would try and take over the lead. But rest assured fans, as writers David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith are promising that if everything goes according to plan this will be a real deal sequel that will see Keaton himself reprise one of his most beloved characters.
