David Copperfield once famously quipped to Johnny Carson, that the difference between a trick and an illusion is "about $40,000." And certainly, in recent years magic has gone from something defined by either birthday party tricksters or arena selling professionals, into a piece of slick entertainment that also includes legitimate street performers, reality show stars and much more. (In fact, one of the best in the world right now might be a guy you never heard of named Apollo Robbins). And it's against this new face of the industry where "Now You See Me" starts (as partially seen in the opening four minutes that dropped online), with a group of random performers -- ranging from the skyscraper theatrics of J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) to the mentalism hustle of Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson) -- individually and mysteriously brought together by a shadowy figure for what becomes the ultimate illusion.

Trailer placement is a very important thing. You get your promo in front of a film that has the same target audience, and turns out to be a big hit, and you're potentially laughing all the way to the bank. And that's why we've just seen a trailer for "Last Vegas" over at Yahoo -- "The Hangover Part III" is only a week away, and it's the perfect film to help sell CBS Films' aged bachelor party movie to a giant crowd.

You don't see movies about magic or featuring magicians too often at the movies, and while this spring's "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" was either very magical or funny, this summer Louis Leterrier's "Now You See Me" is hoping to cast a spell. It's a summer movie without superheros or toys to back it up, but could its sleight of hand turn it into a big hit?

After getting the new “Now You See Me” trailer two days ago, a boatload of new images from Louis Letterier’s magician thriller have arrived (or should I say they have magically appeared?). And they look awesome, with flames coming out of Morgan Freeman’s forehead, Dave Franco performing an intense card trick, and a graffiti-ed stage set. I repeat – FLAMES coming out of Morgan Freeman’s forehead!!

Hey wait, shouldn't this be: Morgan Freeman joins Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar"? What gives? At any rate, Nolan is producing Wally Pfister's directorial debut, and it seems it's all about keeping it in the family.

Up until now, "Now You See Me," the magician thriller by "Incredible Hulk" director Louis Leterrier, seemed like a potential sleeper hit. It's got a terrific cast (including Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson and Melanie Laurent), an intriguing premise (magicians rob banks and then distribute the money to their audiences), and a solid creative team behind the scenes (including frequent J.J. Abrams collaborators Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman) – but that was before we had seen anything from the movie. Now that a second trailer has arrived chock full of new footage, the question remains – did the filmmakers and marketing gurus show too much of their hand? Or is there enough mystery to get you to come back this summer?

Tom Cruise, Oblivion
Only a few years ago, big sci-fi action spectacles were confined pretty much to the summer months. But now, the season has crept out to the extent that it essentially lasts from the middle of February (see the release of "A Good Day To Die Hard" this year) to... pretty much the rest of the year, with barely a few weeks going by without a major tent-pole arriving. Even the once-barren month of April isn't safe anymore, with the arrival of "Oblivion," an expensive, visually lavish sci-fi picture top-lined by megastar Tom Cruise.

Will Jack Harper fare better than "Jack Reacher"? That's the question as Tom Cruise continues his post-'Ghost Protocol' resurgence with "Oblivion" this month, getting some help in the spectacle department from "Tron: Legacy" director Joseph Kosinski. And after a series of trailers, which have actually gotten more intriguing as they've arrived, four clips are here to help you decide whether or not to purchase a ticket.

Tom Cruise, Oblivion
Whatever your feelings are about “Oblivion,” it must be nice to know it’s finally coming out in a few weeks. Doesn’t it feel like trailers for “Oblivion” have been in theaters for a long time now? Tom Cruise reminiscing about the last great Super Bowl on Earth, Morgan Freeman lighting up a cigar, telling Cruise what’s “really going on” etc. Come to think of it, are we sure the movie hasn’t been released already?
