But not if you're Ridley Scott and you're working with a script by Cormac McCarthy. Big names have been breaking down the door to join "The Counselor," and that run continues today.

While there are still those who will bitch and moan that Woody Allen's comedies haven't evolved much over the past few decades, for those with appropriate expectations, the director's films are -- even at their flimsiest -- generally a delightful annual treat. And so it goes with "To With Rome Love," which hardly breaks new ground, but offers up enough charms that we're looking forward to it.

Looking to replicate the success of "Midnight In Paris," a career-best box office hit that won Allen his first writing Oscar since 1987 for "Hannah And Her Sisters," details of his latest film are being kept under wraps. After their collaboration nearly ten years ago on the romantic drama "Don't Move," it was revealed last year that Penelope Cruz and Italian actor-director Sergio Castellitto were set to reunite once again on a new project. As was the case with their first teaming, Cruz and Castellitto have turned to the helmer's wife, writer-actress Margaret Mazzantini, for inspiration with an adaptation her romantic war-drama "Venuto Al Mondo" that'll also feature Emile Hirsch, in a surprising piece of casting.
