After more than forty images and three TV spots debuted for "Seven Psychopaths" last week, you would think that were wouldn't be much left to show from the movie without feeling like you've seen the whole thing already. But for those who just can't wait until next week, a few more peeks have arrived.

Since making his directorial debut with the Chuck Palahniuk adaptation “Choke” in 2008, Clark Gregg has appeared in some of the most successful films of the past four years. But now that his relationship with Marvel is seemingly at an end -- provided the studio doesn’t just retcon his death in "The Avengers" -- the character actor is gearing up to return behind the camera with “Trust Me.”

Talk about making an entrance. Covered in blood and vomit, you might think that this is as bad as it's going to get for Marty, but in "Seven Psychopaths," there isn't one outrageous moment in the movie that director Martin McDonagh doesn't match with something that takes it just a little bit further.

A meta movie about the movies, a comedy about dog-napping featuring a rogue's gallery of performers, Martin McDonagh's "Seven Psychopaths" is about as big a 180 as you can get from "In Bruges." While we didn't think it all worked, it can't be denied that the Midnight Madness audience at TIFF that we saw it with went along for the ride in a huge way. With the movie set to drop into theaters soon, a massive array of photos and three new TV spots have landed for the pic.

Scientific fact: every movie is better for having a little Sam Rockwell in it. Whether it's in a lead role, like in "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" or "Moon," or a scene-stealing supporting turn like in "Galaxy Quest" or the blockbuster "Iron Man 2," he's one of those actors who never gives a bad performance, and makes every picture he appears in that much better.

TIFF Review: Manic & Meta 'Seven Psychopaths' Both Exhausts & Delights

It would seem that following the success of "In Bruges," writer/director Martin McDonagh went to Hollywood -- and didn't like the experience. A meta riff on making movies "Seven Psychopaths" is a sneering send-up of the industry that also revels in its action movie clichés. But if there is one thing certain about McDonagh's sophomore feature film, it's that it's bigger in every sense than his debut. Boasting lots of gunplay, a big extended cast of stars willing to play along and a less witty, broader sense of humor, McDonagh tries to have it both ways by playing to the cheap seats while pointing out how absurd it is at the same time.

Not many directors have an Oscar before their first feature is released, but playwright-turned-filmmaker Martin McDonagh managed the trick by picking up the Best Short prize for his film "Six Shooter." And fortunately, his feature follow-up, "In Bruges," was no disappointment; a soulful, foul-mouthed comedy that helped to revitalize Colin Farrell's career, it proved something of a sleeper hit a few years back, picking up some great reviews.

Martin McDonagh, the director of "In Bruges," has a new pitch-black comedy called "Seven Psychopaths" starring Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken, and co-starring Woody Harrelson, Abbie Cornish, Tom Waits, Olga Kurylenko and Zeljko Ivanek (who starred in McDonagh's amazing Broadway play "The Pillowman"). As of this morning, the movie is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Midnight Madness section.

It's been a long, strange trip for "A Single Shot." Seemingly stuck in development hell, the project had an array of names circling over the past couple of years -- Michael Fassbender, Alessandro Nivola, Emily Mortimer, Terrence Howard, Juliette Lewis, James Badge Dale, Juno Temple, Leslie Mann, Thomas Haden Church -- but began finally firming things up this week. Sam Rockwell, Jeffrey Wright, Jason Isaacs and William H. Macy (who has been attached through various incarnations) were confirmed, and now we know the rest of the folks joining them.

If "A Single Shot" sounds vaguely familiar, it's because it has been on our radar under various guises for some time now. A number of cast members have joined and left the project over the past couple of years, but David M. Rosenthal's film has now made it in front of cameras with Sam Rockwell and William H. Macy (who has stuck with the pic through various incarnations) taking lead roles.
