Dallas Buyers Club
With an Oscar in his hands, presumably Jared Leto has his pick of movies, and it looks like he's eyeing former Will Smith gig "Brilliance." The Fresh Prince dropped out last month, but Leto is in early talks for the movie that's based on the novel by Marcus Sakey, that's set in "a world where a rare set of people are born with extraordinary abilities and are called 'brilliants.' At the center of the story is a federal agent with great hunting gifts who is drafted to track down a terrorist, another such brilliant who intends to start a civil war." Woo.

Kidnapping Freddy Heineken
Even if you have never heard about the film before, the title “Kidnapping Freddy Heineken” should tell you everything you need to know. Freddy Heineken was chairman and CEO of Heineken International, a brewing company that surely everyone is familiar with. And yes, the man really was kidnapped. In 1983, five criminals kidnapped Heineken and demanded a hefty ransom, 35 million Dutch guilders to be exact (equivalent to 16 million Euros). Naturally, a story like this demands to be seen on film and director Daniel Alfredson (“The Girl Who Played With Fire”) is thankfully up for the task. An international trailer for film has recently popped up online and you can check it out below.

Afternoon Delight
Anytime Johnny Depp is making a movie that doesn't require feathers or gaudy makeup we're interested, and thus "Black Mass" has our full attention. And the cast for Scott Cooper's film just keeps getting better and better.

Sabotage
With nary an Ahnold quip, "Sabotage," David Ayer's fetishistically violent action thriller, often feels like a misguided detour, a waste of goodwill amassed by the superior "End of Watch." Doing away with the concept that guided the 2012 cop drama but retaining and supercharging it's once-relatable hyper masculinity, "Sabotage" is wholly unpleasant, unfocused and downright ugly. Ayer's filmography has often cast an unflinching eye on battered, perforated bodies, but here the attention feels invasive and even a bit gleeful. Every wound is flaunted and a series of gruesome autopsies feature a hungry, roving camera, floating over the torn skin, the bloated flesh, stripping away the humanity. One character is literally reduced to ground meat and Ayer holds on the remains with an intent that is lost on us.

Sabotage
It's been a while since we've been able to go see an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie without having to drape ourselves in irony and wear our boots of nostalgia. But thankfully, "Sabotage" looks straight up legit—a pulpy B-movie that is firmly wearing its R-rating, and a new trailer is here to prove to you that Arnie has still got it.

A casting shakeup, sibling teamwork and an animated movie about gummy bears or something so let's get to it. First announced last spring, we kinda forgot about "Alive Alone," but it looks like it's gearing up though with a couple of changes.

Avatar
It's officially official, though there was never any doubt: Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are back for the completely necessary sequels, "Avatar 2," "Avatar 3" and "Avatar 4." But lest you think this saga will end there, here's some news that perhaps suggests the franchise can live on beyond.

Sabotage
After the flops "The Last Stand" and "Escape Plan," it's becoming a real question as to whether audiences want to see Arnold Schwarzenegger in anything that's not a pre-built franchise. But maybe surrounding him with a massive ensemble—Sam Worthington, Terrence Howard, Joe Manganiello, Dawn Olivieri, Malin Akerman, Olivia Williams, Mirielle Enos and Josh Holloway—might get a few more people in the door.

Indie thrillers, franchises and family movies—it's a wild mix in this casting round up, so let's to it. First up, Nicholas Hoult has replaced Zac Efron in the upcoming "Autobahn." Set to be written and directed by Eran Creevy, who made some waves this year with his thriller "Welcome To The Punch," the movie follows a backpacker and his girlfriend (to played by Amber Heard), who is hired by German drug smugglers, only for the job to go south and be forced to flee on the freeways of the title.
