One of the great gear shifts in the already twisty, excellent series "Breaking Bad," came in season four when Skylar (Anna Gunn) finally learned the truth about Walter White's extracurricular activities. And it led to one of the all time great scenes in the show so far, in the season four, episode six entry "Cornered." When Skylar admits she fears for her life because of what could come to their door because of his business, Walt delivers a chilling monologue in which he declares, “I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger…I am the one who knocks!” And while we can't imagine anyone but Bryan Cranston in the role, it's still fun to see someone else give it a shot.

As Marvel enters Phase Two of their cinematic universe, their business universe is also getting a bit of a shake up. No one could have really predicted that Phase One would end with the billion dollar earning "The Avengers," and that really changed the game. Wisely, Robert Downey Jr. had negotiated a deal for a cut of the profits which saw him pocket a cool $50 million. Not bad, right? Well, now imagine you're one of the actors that only got $200,000 for the movie. As you might guess, that is causing some serious friction as Marvel tries to lock everyone in for "The Avengers 2."

From Script To Screen: The 12 Biggest Deleted/Unfilmed Scenes From 'Django Unchained'

There is a host of extras on the deluxe Blu-ray edition of Quentin Tarantino's revisionist splatter-western "Django Unchained" (out this week), but amidst all the special features, there's one thing you won't find: deleted scenes. During the press day we attended for the film back in December, Tarantino theorized that there could be a longer "Dances with Wolves"-esque director's cut one day, but as of now, that has yet to materialize (Samuel L. Jackson has joked he can't wait to see the five hour cut). But just because those deleted scenes aren’t part of the supplementary material or reintegrated into the film (yet), doesn't mean that they weren't there at some point – either at script phase or during filming. It's with this in mind that we run down the biggest deletions, omissions, or adjustments between what "Django Unchained" was to be, and what it ended up being.

Looks like Warner Bros. is pulling an "Akira," "Paradise Lost" and "Arthur & Lancelot" on "Tarzan." The studio, which famously shut down all of those aforementioned films while they were in pre-production, is doing the same thing with "Tarzan" for pretty much same reason: money, money, money.

With votes due in just a couple of days, Oscar campaigning is nearly over, and the last few weeks have seen a fair bit of mudslinging. "Django Unchained" has been accused of playing fast and loose with the "n-word," Kathryn Bigelow is a torture-loving patriot, Tom Hooper is too in love with his fish-eye lens and every single movie is too long. Drag out an Oscar contender, and you can find some dirt on it. But Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" has largely gone by unscathed, except perhaps for some folks finding it too talky or stuffy. But leave it Samuel L. Jackson to throw some barbs at the movie.

Even though neither of them have actually seen it, Spike Lee and Antoine Fuqua have both weighed in on the matter, but the debate still rages, particularly over the use of the word "nigger" in the film. The last time this writer wrote something even slightly negative about M. Night Shyamalan on this very site – the phrase "diminishing returns" was thrown about if memory serves - it was open season in the comments section. The writer-director certainly still has his passionate fans who don’t need much provocation in order to jump to his defense, but it seems that Samuel L. Jackson isn’t one of them. The actor is known for speaking his mind, and during an interview over at the Huffington Post to promote “Django Unchained” he did just that on a variety of issues, including the career of Shyamalan.
