Wish You Were Here, Joel Edgerton, Teresa Palmer
With a membership that includes Joel Edgerton, Nash Edgerton, David Michôd, Spencer Susser and more, it's safe to say that the Blue Tongue Films collective isn't lacking in talent. And while the name Kieran Darcy-Smith might not be the most familiar of the group, he more than matches the talent his colleagues have shown across their projects, and his feature debut "Wish You Were Here" shows another strong filmmaking voice emerging from Blue Tongue.

Post-production, festival attention, and eventual release are bound to alter a filmmaker's perspective on a film -- particularly so, if the work is an intensely personal document of fatherhood starring their real-life son. Actor/director Mark Webber has done just that though with Isaac Love -- two years old during filming -- for “The End of Love” (read our review) and a week before its theatrical opening, he chatted with us about the journey from Sundance, Isaac's performance, and his next directorial effort.

Though you can currently see her on top of the North American box office in the zom-rom-com “Warm Bodies,” Teresa Palmer went back to her Australian roots recently, starring in the Nash Edgerton-helmed short “Bear.” After making waves on the festival circuit last year stopping in Cannes, Milano, Athens and SXSW , you can now pull up a chair and give it watch in the comfort of your own home courtesy of Vice.

Review: 'Warm Bodies' Exhumes A Zombie Romance Without Much Of A Pulse

Credit where credit is due, “Warm Bodies” does at the very least bring a zombie to the big screen that we’ve never seen before: one seemingly caught in the grip of an existential crisis. When we first meet the undead R (Nicholas Hoult) he’s literally and figuratively shuffling through life. His decayed state has also robbed him of his memory (he can’t remember his name, hence the initial), he’s not quite sure when his zombie life began and his “hoodie would suggest I was unemployed.” This is part of the pleasingly sardonic opening to the movie (you can watch the first four minutes right here), but unfortunately, it’s a tone that eventually evaporates from “Warm Bodies” in favor of something far more conventional.

Initially slated to come at the tail end of this summer, "Warm Bodies" was moved to a release date closer to Valentine's Day presumably to play off its zombie romance center. But judging by this trailer, there might be other reasons it was shifted to an early winter bow.

With the Vietnam war raging, one man will make a decision that tests his own morals, ethics and view on American life: fight for his country or go skinny dipping with Teresa Palmer? Yes, those are quandaries Liam Hemsworth faces in "Love and Honor," the kind of movie Channing Tatum used to do.

While plot details about Terrence Malick's "Knight Of Cups" remain unknown, and will likely remain that way until the movie comes out sometime in the next decade, if we were to ascertain the plot based on the set photos so far, we'd guess it's an unofficial sequel to "The Dark Knight Rises," where the retired Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) is now living under a new identity on the beach, and is spending his remaining years chasing young women in the surf, with his wingman played by Wes Bentley.

Landing a script on the Black List doesn't necessarily mean your movie will get made right away (please see the forever-developing "Prisoners" as a hot script stuck at the starting gates) but it does mean that when the ball gets rolling, top talent is going to swarm. And for Roberto Patino, his 2009 script for "Cut Bank" has rounded up a helluva cast.
