Sorry, ladies. For those of you hoping for some suave Eames-esque pics of English heartthrob Tom Hardy, you may want to look elsewhere. Some new set photos have arrived for the highly anticipated (at least by us) "Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy" and Hardy has gone blond (or at least is wearing a pretty convincing wig) is sporting a very period specific hairdo. No slick hair and well cut suits here.

Latest Rumors Link Tom Hardy To Role Of Dr. Hugo Strange After a couple of years of speculation as to whether he would make the film, and after one passion-project turned box-office-blockbuster, Christopher Nolan finally confirmed that he would be directing the third, and final, film in the Batman series a few months back. We know that it's going to be called "The Dark Knight Rises," we know that "Bronson" star Tom Hardy will reteam with Nolan, who directed him in "Inception," by joining the regular cast, and we know... well, not much else really.

If being offered the lead role in "Snow White And The Huntsman" didn't tip you off, Tom Hardy is one of the hottest talents in Hollywood right now. His turn in "Inception" made it known to a wider audience what those who saw "Bronson" already knew; the actor is the real deal and has the charisma and skill to be a major leading man. So, no surprise then that with 'Huntsman' now trying to land Johnny Depp to lead the film, Hardy has been offered the role of Henry Sturgess in another tentpole vehicle, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."

Tom Hardy Will Be Too Busy Being Awesome In 'The Dark Knight Rises'It speaks to how far Tom Hardy has come that his name was in the early mix for the lead in Universal's "The Snow White And The Huntsman," but the timing always seemed a little too close for comfort. The actor will be shooting "This Means War" until December and then will begin work on Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" in the spring. Alas, we'll have to wait a while yet for Hardy to land his own franchise vehicle. However, undaunted, Universal has put an offer to the biggest A-list star there is.

So It's Not The Riddler: Ten Candidates For The Villain In 'The Dark Knight Rises'

After months and months of speculation, some firm information on the third Batman finally appeared yesterday, courtesy of director Christopher Nolan. It'll be called "The Dark Knight Rises," and it won't be in 3D. Plus, a little while ago, we discovered that actor Tom Hardy will be joining the cast of the film in a role that most assume to be villainous in nature. But Nolan also debunked something that many had believed to be a certainty: that one of the classics in the Batman rogue's gallery, The Riddler (previously played by Jim Carrey in "Batman Forever"), would be the villain in the picture.
