When Jim Jarmusch's "Only Lovers Left Alive" was missing from the initial lineup announcement for the Cannes Film Festival, we were a bit bummed out, but about a week later, it was slotted as a late addition to the Competition lineup, adding another great title to an already stacked slate. There hasn't been much thus far from the movie itself, with the excitement resting solely on the cast (Tilda Swinton, John Hurt, Mia Wasikowska, Anton Yelchin, Tom Hiddleston) and the fact that it's about vampires. But now, two clips from the movie have landed providing the first look at 'Lovers,' but it remains intriguingly enigmatic.

Bradley Cooper
The saga continues... For a moment, it looked like everything was going to be okay on the troubled western "Jane Got A Gun." After Michael Fassbender's departure followed not longer after by director Lynne Ramsay's dramatic bailing on the movie literally days before cameras were going to roll (depending on who you ask she blindsided producers, or simply couldn't come to terms with them) the movie recovered with "Warrior" director Gavin O'Connor taking over the director's chair. The cast was shaken up a bit with the long attached Natalie Portman (who is also a producer on the movie) being joined by Joel Edgerton (who changed roles during the casting shuffle), Bradley Cooper (replacing Jude Law who also eventually exited) and Noah Emmerich. Now the movie has lost another major actor.

Thor 2, Thor: The Dark World
Starting with a preview in the Phase One boxset, Marvel has been efficiently building up to the first trailer for "Thor: The Dark World" with a poster and fresh stills in the last few days. And now it's officially here (after partially leaking late last night), and yes, it's bringing the epic.

It seems as though we've been talking about a biopic of legendary war-photographer and photojournalist Robert Capa forever, but it does look like one is finally going to make it into production. It won't be the one directed by Michael Mann however, because whilst he's still reported to be developing his own Capa feature, a rival project now titled "Close Enough" gained serious traction with the addition of "Avengers" actor Tom Hiddleston last week. Although, at the same time it lost the long attached Gemma Arterton, it was assumed that the inclusion of Hiddleston would be enough to get another actor in quickly and that has proven to be the case.

So remember those rumors that James McAvoy was being eyed to lead "The Crow? Turns out it wasn't quite true, but maybe it just a game of internet telephone tag because another actor is getting ready to goth, and happens to come from the isle that is the United Kingdom.

In the works for a quite a few years now, you might have lost track of where we're at in terms of a biopic on war photographer Robert Capa. Way, way back in 2010, Gemma Arterton said that she was going to star in a movie to be directed by Michael Mann, but then last year at the Marrakech International Film Festival, the actress clarified with us the status of her film, and revealed that there is more than one movie in the works.

You know you’ve made it when they offer you a “Muppets” cameo. From John Cleese to John Krasinski; Tina Fey to Ty Burrell, Kermit’s is a team worth pitching for. And the latest to get the Henson seal of approval is Tom Hiddleston, who eagle-eyed fans at the Muppets Henson blog (via Comic Book Movie) have spotted. The actor has joined the cast of the lazily-titled “The Muppets… Again!” as 'The Great Escapo.' For Hiddleston, it's both a pat on the back and, let’s face it, a chance to get to play something other than Loki in a Marvel movie (which, with this year's "Thor: The Dark World," he'll have done three times in three years).

Before he was Loki, Tom Hiddleston was just another Brit actor trying to make it and early on he formed a bond with filmmaker Joanna Hogg. He appeared in her 2007 indie "Unrelated," and three years later starred in her sophomore feature "Archipelago." And while the world is now an oyster for the actor, and he likely has many more offers on his desk than ever before, he's reuniting with Hogg for her next film.

Since the first announcement of NBC’s move to adapt Thomas Harris’ “Hannibal” to the small screen, we’ve been on the fence, but the show is quickly shaping up to be one to watch. After signing up Mads Mikkelsen to play the titular role opposite Hugh Dancy’s FBI agent Will Graham, the show has now added Laurence Fishburne, last seen on the small screen in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” as “Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI’s behavioral sciences unit.”
