Don Peyote
I’ll say this for Dan Fogler’s “Don Peyote”: its title might be the finest play on “Quixote” in cinema history. (Sorry, 2007’s “Donkey Xote.”) Unfortunately, a pun-tastic title does not guarantee a winning film, as the makers of “R.I.P.D.” can attest. As star, co-writer, and co-director of “Don Peyote,” Fogler deserves credit for the sheer ambition involved in this oddball story of a stoner’s awakening.

Mercy Scott Caan
Believe it or not, but the Earth continues to move around the sun after Shia LaBeouf dropped the upcoming comedy "Rock The Kasbah" from his slate. But the universe has found a way to right itself, with a replacement signed up to keep the movie going.

With the future for “The Girl Who Played With Fire” still uncertain — “Seven” screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker was reported to have taken a crack at the script last summer — and only “Bond 24” to look forward to, Daniel Craig doesn’t have a lot on his plate but Variety reports that’s about to change.

Interstellar trailer
So, is Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" gearing up to be the biggest blockbuster about agriculture ever? That's certainly the last word on it, as the always secrecy prone filmmaker hasn't let any details yet slip out about his movie.

The newest trend on TV—which, like most trends, isn’t exactly new—is taking big-screen properties to the small screen. Joining the forthcoming limited series takes on “Fargo” and “The Exorcist,” Deadline is reporting that the Bradley Cooper-starring vehicle “Limitless” will get a small-screen adaptation of its very own.

While Christopher Nolan has never had a problem rounding up top rate actors to appear in his films, he's also always been up for throwing a curveball every now and again. Think Eric Roberts in "The Dark Knight" or Tom Berenger In "Inception." And it looks the filmmaker has another trick up his sleeve and may be a closet fan of "That '70s Show."

With "Grown Ups 2" starring "SNL" alumnus Adam Sandler and "King of Queens" star Kevin James opening this weekend, and "The Way Way Back" with Steve Carell of "The Office" fame out since last week, your local multiplex will soon be playing a choice of films with star actors who originally made their names in TV comedy shows. All three of these guys have carved out the kind of big-screen success that means we arguably now associate them more with movies than with television, but that's a trick that many have tried and only few have really pulled off.

With filming set to begin at the end of the month, director Justin Reardon is now tying down the rest of the cast that will join Chris Evans and Michelle Monaghan in his debut feature. And for his first film, he's getting quite a nice assist on talent.

As far as advertising campaigns go for computer products, Intel/Toshiba has really raised the bar. And while executive will wonder whether the investment will lead to more sales/awareness of their brand and products, cinephiles can just be happy it's another avenue for rising "Like Crazy" director Drake Doremus to show off his talents. And it certainly doesn't hurt that Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Topher Grace are along for the ride.

Hollywood is a weird place. While it can be known for being forward-thinking or progressive in its politics, willing to adapt to social changes and put new stories on the big screen, like the Oscar-nominated "The Kids Are All Right" that offers a refreshing and modern look at families, on the other hand, it can be strangely conservative. And so, we'll forgive you if when watching the trailer for "The Big Wedding" you might think it was exhumed from a previous decade (or two).
