This will make you feel old: it has been 18 years since Harmony Korine wrote “Kids” at the age of 21, with the Larry Clark-directed film proving to be something of a firecracker in the midst of mid-'90s indie cinema, by turns controversial, seedy, and honest. Korine made his own directorial debut with 1998’s “Gummo,” and over the last 15 or so years has made films that (with the possible exception of “Mister Lonely”), push aesthetic and critical boundaries further and further, culminating in 2009’s “Trash Humpers,” a film shot on a VHS camcorder, featuring a cast in old-people masks generally trying to provoke the audience into walking out. So where could he possibly go from there?

Picking up coverage everywhere from EW to Cahier du Cinema, Harmony Korine's “Spring Breakers” finally opens in theaters this month, and while the promo efforts are perhaps getting to be just a few clips away from overkill at this point, we've got a quick new one as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the cast and crew's Miami exploits.

You can trust us on this one, folks; Harmony Korine’s “Spring Breakers” is going to comfortably be the highest grossing film of the director’s career to date. In fact, if we had to go out on a limb, we’d say that he’s unlikely to ever match it. The film will go into limited release on March 15th a week before it goes wide, it's secured distribution in most major European and Antipodean territories over the next few months, and it’s not exactly the hardest product to market. Images from the film stick out like a sore, fluorescent thumb whenever they’re posted online, and any film that heavily features a headline-attracting pop starlet and the former star of a massively successful Disney franchise clad in skimpy bikinis is going to have a sizable built-in audience.

For the past few months we've been eating a steady diet of awards season fare, glossy blockbusters and studio throwaways. But soon the Oscars will be over, and we'll be needing some kind of cinematic release. So, it's a good thing that Harmony Korine's "Spring Breakers" is right around the corner, and it's an even better thing that it looks brilliantly bonkers.

James Franco in dreadlocks! Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine all sweaty and half dressed! A Florida-set crime romp! Given all the ingredients for it to be potentially batshit crazy, the first clip to make its way online from Harmony Korine's "Spring Breakers" is relatively normal.

Another day, another trailer for a movie Nicolas Cage made over a weekend. Yesterday brought us "Stolen," Cage's "Taken"-in-a-taxi-cab movie, and today brings "Frozen Ground," with a rough/early spot leaking to the web, promising Vanessa Hudgens stripping and lots of glowering from Cage and his co-star John Cusack.

Vanessa Hudgens is running away from her "High School Musical" roots that made her name as fast she can. While she has lent her face to such tween-skewing fare as "Bandslam," "Beastly" and "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," she's been just as eager to prove she's all grown up, appearing in "Sucker Punch" and signing on for movies like the gritty indie "Gimme Shelter," the serial killer flick "Frozen Ground" and of course, Harmony Korine's potentially amazeballs "Spring Breakers." And she continues to shake her wholesome Disney image.

So what exactly is Harmony Korine's "Spring Breakers" going to be? With a star-driven and somewhat random cast including James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and more, it seems like the wildly singular director is aiming for the mainstream. But then again, one can never discount Korine's prankster spirit, so who knows if this is just a bigger budget "Trash Humpers." Either way, everyone involved has been more than eager to show off what they've been up to, with a seemingly endless supply of stills and set pics making their way online. And the movie even had a ginormous billboard up at Cannes, the kind usually reserved for blockbusters. We're still not sure what to expect, but until we find out, here are more cheescake pics of the cast.

Nicolas Cage has appeared in a seemingly endless stream of action-thrillers over the past several years, including treasures like "Bangkok Dangerous," "Seeking Justice" and "Trespass," — all done, we assume, to help pay down that mountain of debt Cage has accrued — but we're particularly intrigued by one of Cage's upcoming thrillers: "Frozen Ground," produced by co-star Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.

Harmony Korine has made movies with dudes fucking garbage, nuns jumping out of planes, and Die Antwoord riding around in wheelchairs, but nothing is quite like "Spring Breakers." Boasting a cast of young Hollywood babes -- and James Franco -- and (relatively speaking) as mainstream a plot as anything he's ever done, this might be the weirdest movie the director has ever made simply by nature of being totally unlike his previous work. And a bunch of images have been appearing online in the past few weeks, so we've rounded some of them up here -- but let's start right from the top.
