Vincent D’Onofrio
Apparently no one has asked Jeff Goldblum if he’s going to reprise his “Jurassic Park” role in “Jurassic World,” but two new actors have been asked and cast. Former “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” actor Vincent D’Onofrio and Indian star Irrfan Khan have both joined the tentpole that already includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson.

Chlorine
“America is not a young land; it is old and dirty and evil before the settlers, before the Indians. The evil is there waiting.” That's the William S. Burroughs quote that opens Jay Alaimo's “Chlorine” but not before we get a close-up of a moustached nose taking a bump of coke to the sounds of uplifting violins on the soundtrack. Quick flashes of some of the major characters clearly hating their lives appear in rapid succession and everything fades to white to reveal Burroughs' quote on evil. But thanks to what precedes and follows those ominously serious words, it's clear that the quote is only an additional ingredient to the stir-fry of energy that Alaimo's message is part of.

Reese Witherspoon
After a stint working on indie movies with Jeff Nichols' "Mud" opening earlier this year, Atom Egoyan's "The Devil's Knot" hitting the festival circuit, and Paul Thomas Anderson's "Inherent Vice" probably landing sometime next year, the actress is going back to making movies that will pay the bills. She's headed to Disney to make the fairy tale comedy, "Happily Ever After."

There’s an alternate reality somewhere, wherein “Pawn Shop Chronicles” is not released in theaters on July 12th, but instead is projected on the wall of a small, narrow hallway in Comic-Con, never to be heard from again. Somehow, a cast of capable, popular actors show up in what seems like the very last vestiges of early aughts direct-to-DVD Tarantino bite-offs, a movie not so much directed as punched into existence by director Wayne Kramer. Once considered a promising filmmaking voice (his “The Cooler” netted Alec Baldwin an Academy Award nomination once upon a time), Kramer is now reduced to essaying a flippant grotesquerie that carries the names of nineteen producers and executive producers, the primary one appears to be Fred Durst.

While she hasn't been seen on the big screen since 2012's movie-you-already-forgot-about "Safe House," Vera Farmiga has a helluva 2013 lined up. This spring sees her raise a pyscho in the A&E series "Bates Motel," while this summer she'll continue to chill in the horror flick "The Conjuring." And just as those two projects head to screens big and small, the actress is eager to get back on set.

5 Things You Might Not Know About Stanley Kubrick's 'Full Metal Jacket'

Stanley Kubrick was never the most prolific of filmmakers, but his productivity slowed right down in the last couple of decades of his life; while there were several projects he worked on that never got made, including "Napoleon" and "A.I.," the director only made three films in the last twenty years of his career. And sandwiched between 1980's "The Shining" and 1999's posthumously-released "Eyes Wide Shut" was his Vietnam war epic "Full Metal Jacket."

50 Cent keeps churning 'em out, and what the fuck does he care if these movies are direct-to-DVD style drivel? Dude makes bank on these things so screw the haterz.

Amy Ryan, Vincent D’Onofrio, 50 Cent & Vinnie Jones Join Stallone & Schwarzenegger In 'The Tomb'

If you removed Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger from the equation, the cast lining up for "The Tomb" seems like something that would fit a straight-to-DVD potboiler, instead of a teamup between two aging action icons. Either way, "The Tomb" is gonna be...weird.
