Tina Fey has certainly been keeping herself busy now that “30 Rock” is officially over. She stars in the upcoming rom-com “Admission” with Paul Rudd, her first starring role since 2010’s “Date Night,” and she’s currently filming “Muppets...Again!” sequel alongside Ricky Gervais. And now, she’s entering negotiations to join Jason Bateman in the comedy/drama “This Is Where I Leave You,” an adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Johnathan Tropper, who wrote the script himself.

With all the buzz around "Star Wars: Episode 7" it kinda just seems like "Star Trek Into Darkness" is sort of this thing in the way that both J.J. Abrams and audiences just have to get over before we return to a galaxy far, fary away. But that said, "Star Trek" was a blast, and we're hoping that same popcorn fun will be found in the sequel, though in this batch of new photos, everyone is pretty damn serious.

With all the noise surrounding the selection of J.J. Abrams to direct "Star Wars: Episode 7," you might have forgotten that the helmer actually has a sci-fi movie coming out this year. "Star Trek Into Darkness" is on the way, and despite some trailers and a even a big IMAX preview that played in select cinemas, as per usual, the secrets are being played close to the chest. But some savvy nerds may have cracked who the villain, John Harrison, actually is.

Despite the fact that no one really seems to want see actress Zoe Saldana play Nina Simone in an upcoming film biopic (or so says the New York Times), the picture is not only going forward, it begins shooting this week. And some iconic names are joining the cast. Or at least, cast members that will play iconic African-American figures. Comedian Mike Epps ("Next Friday," "The Hangover") has signed up to play Richard Pryor in the biopic simply known as "Nina."

The seemingly forever-developing Nina Simone biopic is still moving, though it has been quite a while since there was been any substantial news. Way back in 2010, Mary J. Blige signed on for the lead with David Oyelowo to co-star, but very little happened since, and as with most projects involving musicians and estates, we figured various entanglements were holding it up. Well, whatever has been going on, it seems there is some movement.

"The Words" might not be the sexiest movie title in history, but what it lacks in name appeal, the film makes up for in casting. Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana lead a cast that also includes Olivia Wilde, Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, J.K. Simmons, Ben Barnes and Nora Arzeneder. Not bad, right?

If you would have asked us a year ago whether we thought a sequel to Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" would ever happen, we would have taken a bet against it. Response to the 2010 film didn't set the roof on fire, but made quick and inexpensively, the exploitation film's $44 million worldwide gross was evidently enough to warrant a sequel. After all, Rodriguez just makes the picture in-house via his Troublemaker Studios and then strikes a deal with a distributor afterwards, with the writer/director still controlling rights. No fuss, no muss.

While it sounds decent on paper what with the cast and all,  Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde, we can't say we're entirely convinced of this new trailer for "The Words." It probably doesn't help that we didn't give this one a particularly enthusiastic review when we saw it at Sundance earlier this year. It's been called both a drama and a thriller and it's about a writer at the peak of his literary success discovers the steep price he must pay for stealing another man's work. The official synopsis is here, which we didn't plagiarize and instead simply copied and pasted from a press release (same thing?).

Megan Fox & Zoe Saldana Will Plan A 'Swindle'

Megan Fox and Zoe Saldana are signing up to kick some ass in the action/heist flick "Swindle." Uh, and that's about all we know. Sony picked up the spec script from Enzo Mileti and Scott Wilson, that will be produced by Michael De Luca ("Moneyball") and apparently this all came about because Fox and Saldana wanted to do a movie together. And why not?

In the works for a couple of years now -- the project first surfaced in 2010 -- Guillaume Canet's '70s set thriller "Blood Ties" has finally come together, and it features one helluva fucking cast.
