10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThe choices of performers for the songs in Bond flicks have always been a bit all over the map, with folks like a-ha, Lulu, Rita Coolidge, Shirley Bassey, Jack White and Alicia Keys, Carly Simon, and Paul McCartney & Wings all tuning up 007's adventures over the years. But we'd wager that Adele's contribution will fall into the category of songs that will stand up long after the movie comes and goes from cinemas (does anyone even remember that Garbage once did a song?).
Anyway, with the movie now less than two months away before arriving in U.K. cinemas, the marketing rollout continues with a couple more posters and banners for the movie (via SuperHeroHype). Nothing particularly new here -- it's the same images and text we've seen already, just rearranged a bit -- but something to hold you over for now. "Skyfall" hits overseas on October 26th and in the U.S. on November 9th.

"(does anyone even remember that Garbage once did a song?)." ummm... yes, and "The World is not Enough" was pretty darned good... love that Shirley Manson. Adel is amazing... but after seeing the Heineken commercial, I think The Asteroid Galaxy Tour would be a fun pick... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyG4nf8k1Ds

Perfect.

If the song is any good Adele may be a lock for the oscar (I me talking about this may be annoying). She is still popular and with most academy members being older her style of music will appeal to them.

A solid choice.

Whoa, yeah, Adele seems like a great fit. Can't wait to hear what she comes up with. This has got to be better than Chris Cornell/Garbage/Madonna/Pretty much every Bond song for the last half-dozen movies.
