With tons of tidbits pouring forth from the American Film Market, we're going to try and stay on top of this stuff by rounding up anything we may have missed or doesn't require a full blown story.

First up, a new image has emerged for Duncan Jones' forthcoming sophomore effort "Source Code." The film centers on a soldier, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, who is part of an experimental government program investigating a terrorist incident. He finds himself in the body of an unknown commuter living and reliving a harrowing train bombing until he can find who is responsible for the attack. The film features a solid supporting cast including Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan, Jeffrey Wright and comedian Russell Peters and will hit theaters next spring on April 15, 2011 one month after it lands in UK cinemas on March 11, 2011.

Early sales art and a synopsis has landed for "The Impossible" starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. The currently-in-production project marks the English language debut for "The Orphange" helmer Juan Antonio Bayona, and is a based-on-a-true-story survival tale centered around the 2004 tsunami. Full synopsis after the jump:

A terrifying and emotional story based on one family’s experience of the 2004 tsunami, THE IMPOSSIBLE is a compelling account of perseverance and survival in the face of unimaginable disaster and chaos.

MARIA (Naomi Watts), HENRY (Ewan McGregor) and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities the night before, a terrifying roar rises up from the center of the earth. As Maria freezes in fear, a huge wall of black water races across the hotel grounds toward her.

Henry grabs the two youngest boys, SIMON and THOMAS, but it’s too late: the wave smashes into him with incredible force and dislodges his grip. Maria is pushed underwater, where she is crushed and battered by debris to the brink of death. She finally surfaces in a raging black sea, which has completely submerged her three-story hotel and the surrounding landscape. Maria gasps for breath, while she tries to understand what has just happened, convinced that her family has been obliterated in the blink of an eye. But then, her eldest son, LUCAS (Tom Holland), surfaces a few meters ahead in the wild flood. Face-to-face with something unexpected and incomprehensible, she must fight against all odds for her child’s survival. And her own.

Based on a true story, THE IMPOSSIBLE is the unforgettable account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of one of the worst natural catastrophes of our time. But the true-life terror is tempered by the unexpected displays of compassion, courage and simple kindness that Maria and her family encounter during the darkest hours of their lives. Both epic and intimate, devastating and uplifting, THE IMPOSSIBLE is a journey to the core of the human heart.

Finally some horror news out there for the few of you that care. "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" has landed "Solomon Kane" director Michael J. Bassett to helm the film. The project will shoot in 3D and follow "Heather Mason, along with her father, who have been on the run - always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't full understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever." Yeah, whatever.

And of course, there is also a "Leatherface 3D" on the way that will be start right after the events of Tobe Hooper's "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" before moving ahead 35 years. Debra Sullivan ("Conspiracy") and Adam Marcus ("Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday") have penned the screenplay.
